So 50p each and you have to buy two so it should read £1.00?

Heat, got enough to swap my way to completion the last time they did this

This has been on since it started!

no it finished

It was on until last Sunday I think. At which point I went out and bought a box paying £0.41 a pack! Thought I got a good deal until I saw this.

Costco is cheaper. A 20 pack bundle is £6.49 (6.49p per card as opposed to this deals 6.67p per card):p

Does the Costco price include VAT?

"According to Sylvain Sardy and Yvan Velenik, two mathematicians at the University of Geneva, the number of sticker packs that you would have to buy on average to fill the album by mechanically buying pack after pack would be 899"

economist.com/blo…-13

So this deal reduces the cost from around £450 to *only* £300

Bargain!

I need the Brazil shiny :-(

I need the book

I'm 65 away from completing my album. Got a couple of guys coming back from holiday next week so should be able to do some deals to get it down to under 50!

can someone explain to me why i didnt get any England or Spain players in 52 packs?

the amount of teams i have completed with tons of doubles, and I didnt get a single England/Spain player. I dont get it

Because it is random...

I also agree it is rigged. I have very few England and Spain but almost completed Brazil and Japan (although my neighbour has very little Brazil apparently but has almost completed Japan as well).

Clearly Panini are doing something here.

But I still buy the damn things. I'll take a long walk to Morrison's for this deal. Free packs if I am going to be buying them anyway.

You don't have to buy 2 you could buy any amount you wanted to. But yeah if you did buy 2 packs you would get 1 pack free, therefor it would be £1.
So it should read 50p as that's how much each pack is.

Finished mine! Woohooo!

im guessing they have made England players extremely rare here.

I have got every sticker from Croatia, Mexico, Colombia, Greece, Ivory Coast, Japan, Italy, France, Argentina, Ghana

I've got none (apart from shiny Badges) from, England, Spain, Algeria, USA, Nigeria, Iran, Honduras, Costa Rica, Chile, Netherlands, Cameroon, Brazil

There is definetly something going on there. 12 teams where I havn't got a single sticker, and 10 teams where I've got every sticker. 52 packs, that's over 250 stickers

How old are you all collecting stickers? These will not be worth money In the future?

Maybe they think it's fun and aren't trying to make a profit.

Maybe others are not so judgemental on age and what people do for fun in their lives, it is when you are that age to not care that life becomes more fun.

So glad i didnt bother after reading how they are taking the ****.

One of my mates has spent a small fortune on them and its clear to see there are certain players which can be found with ease and get many swaps of.

Last time i did it was in 2000 for the premier league book - i was the only one buying the stickers from my local shop and amazingly i never got a single swap and completed the book.

Are the books still available anywhere??

cluessless poster.

I collect Panini's and there is money in them. Go and have a look at how much a completed 1974 Munich album goes for or even check the prices for the 1970 completed Mexico album. £2k!

The older ones are obviously worth more as it was harder and less people collected then. I would definitely recommend collecting these but ONLY if you are going to finish the collection and keep them in good order with no scores written in them.

There are 3 versions of this album, the UK version, the Swiss Platinum version and a Austria/German Hardback edition with extra S stickers in them.

I run admin on a swap group on FB if anyone wants to join and swap....

I bought a box from Amazon.de and only got 48 swaps out of 500, which I don't think was too bad. From here and other forums, I've swapped my way to completion (bought about £17 of packs from ASDA as well).

Had about 65 spares left over which I don't think was bad at all.

Slightly annoyed, there was an overprint on my sticker album on the first 4 pages or so, and rather stupidly I decided it made sense to trim those corners off. Probably wiped out any value it had for the future...

Good news, will save a good few £ need to get my little boys book completed

Anyone know if there is a limit or will I be able to buy a box of 100 for £33?

No limits, although they may not have a sealed box available!

Be advised, don't buy too many packs from the same box, they are released in batches and each crate contains the same set of stickers. Buy from separate shops or at least every few days to vary your findings!

Loads of shops and supermarkets give them away for free with 6 stickers included inside.

They then wait for you to spend a fortune filling it!

I lost track how much my son spent trying to fill Euro 2012 album (still not done) - my wife said I was obsessed - I said not a chance (as I peeled the back off another sticker!!).

It's great fun for kids and for their parents - my son loves collecting for his and sees the challenge - I like it as well but mainly see the cost!!!

Still cheaper than trying to collect 100 magazines to build a model of the Titanic though!!

Because it is not random

As my missus puts it "rather this than you smoking", which I have to agree with.

This has some element of fun and a challenge to complete, so why not? Also encourages people to be social; rather than sit at home on a console they actually go out and converse with friends for swaps

That's my justification anyway! Ha

Good deal, I need about 200 more to complete my album.

Don't forget there's swapstick.com to help out with swaps.
