Accompanied by her parents, Ofelia moves from a large Spanish city to a more rural area in the North of the country. Faced with the upheaval of moving home, an abusive stepfather and the general unpleasantness surrounding Francos victory in 1944, Ofelia enters an imaginary world of creatures and demons, in a bid to escape. From Guillermo del Torro, the visionary director of THE DEVILS BACKBONE and CRONOS comes this frightening, yet fantastical film.

Are you sure that's the 2-disc set? Tesco's also sell the single disc version for £5 in store, but I've been waiting for a good deal like this on the 2-disc.

...Thanks for the deal Shaiya.

Average film considering all the hype I'd heard about it, also bought this in a pack with Cronos and another of Toro's films for £12.97 from Amazon.

Yes, 100% certain it was the 2-disc, because I remember thinking it was a very good price.

Seems a good deal. Is it scary though? Coz I'll need to buy a couch to hide behind which wouldn't make it such a good deal then

I've watched about 40 mins before ejecting it because it was to much at the time of night to constantly reading subtitles & nothing I repeat nothing scary in those mins!

The guy with his eyes in his hands is uber-scary. *shudder*

Amazing film, by the way, genuinely astonishing and flawlessly beautiful.

Thanks for the tip - been seeking for a while - voted hot.

Wierd. Just went there and its £9.95 ? :?

Amazing film not the kind of film I would usually watch but as someone eles said flawlessly beautiful.

Fantastic price fantastic find well done Shaiya

Thank you

Expired now, it's up to £9.95. Virgin is the next cheapest at £6.99.

I bought the single disk version for £6.99 at Sainsbury's a few weeks back.

If the film is in foreign, no doubt the extras will too and I really don't want to read the extras - the film is bad enough to have to read.

I quite liked it, but I think you have to watch it a few times to really get to know it. There is at least one act of violence that might be scary.

(and amazon is oover £10 for the 2 disc)

It is indeed over £10 on Amazon, my bad.
But as som1 else pointed out, its £6.99 at Virgin:
virginmegastores.co.uk/pro…Pans_Labyrinth/s.jsf[/url]
But the HD DVD version is only £15 on there, and with such a 'visual' film I wonder if its an injustice to tget teh DVD version over the HD? Hmmm

Hmv Selling Pans Labyrinth For £5.99 But 1 Disc Only!.....
