Accompanied by her parents, Ofelia moves from a large Spanish city to a more rural area in the North of the country. Faced with the upheaval of moving home, an abusive stepfather and the general unpleasantness surrounding Franco's victory in 1944, Ofelia enters an imaginary world of creatures and demons, in a bid to escape. From Guillermo del Torro, the visionary director of THE DEVIL'S BACKBONE and CRONOS comes this frightening, yet fantastical film.

Great, weird movie, + heat.

This is on Film4 all the time for free

Love this film.

Brilliant, brilliant film, good price, but worth the extra for blu-ray if you have one

Well worth checking out the other del torro films if you like this, Chronos and The Orphanage are excellent.

An absolute all time classic film.

Fantastic film.

or free on film four right now!, better if u have sky plus, its 5 mins in

:-D A well timed post there!

I "Humaxed" it on Film Four last week but it is a great film and the ability to watch it without adverts (even if you can skip through them at the touch of a button), listen to the audio commentary by Director Guillermo Del Toro and make use of the other extras is surely worth £3.99. I'm having some of that myself. Cheers.

Excellent movie, Gui has a serious weird eye but have loved all of the movies he's been part of especially Chronos.

"Franco's victory in 1944"....

err... surely you mean 1939?

Good price mind!

Just took it directly from the website :?

Pan's Labyrinth is the story of a young girl that travels with her mother and adoptive father to a rural area up North in Spain, 1944 - after Franco's victory. The girl lives in an imaginary world of her own creation and faces the real world with much chagrin. Post-war Fascist repression is at its height in rural Spain and the girl must come to terms with that through a fable of her own.
