This is the cheapest I have seen for this film on HD DVD.

Also have The Pianist for the same price...

Don't forget Quidco which should knock around 12p off the total:)

Great film this. Will be even better to watch in hi-def

Very nice in HD this - Worth a fiver

Ordered Thanks :):):):)

Another one for the collection!!

Ordered - voted hot!

Great find. Cheers OP.

Excellent film.

I would really like to see HD films dropping (significantly) below the £5 mark now. I wasted so much money on the bleedin player that I now want it to be worth it because of 'clearance' prices of films like this.

what else are the retailers going to do with them? Sit on them forever at the £5 price point?

Anyway, I digress. Really excellent film, I'm looking forward to Guillermo Del Toro's interpretation of the 2 pre-LOTR films, his dark filiming style should lend a more comtemporary adult theme to the Hobbit.

Compare the HD-DVD prices with Blu - they're a bargain.

Retailers aren't gonna be sitting on them 'cos they're selling out everywhere and when they're gone you've missed the boat unless you buy secondhand.

There're plenty of HD-DVDs being sold at below the cost of the SD versions so I wouldn't moan too much!

The day after I gave up waiting and reluctantly ordered it from HMV (£7.99) and they posted it today so no chance to cancel. B. Typical.

Expire, seems to have gone, BD = £19.93

Pianist is still available.

My mate has said there is trouble with the sub-titles on this when played on his 360 hd-drive. They gradually go out of sync to a point where it's unwatchable. Can use fast forward to another point in the film and they will be ok for a while then go out of sync again.

He's lent it to me to see if it does the same but I hav'nt had a free evening to sit down and try it out yet.

Can anyone who already owns this title confirm the above?

Cheers

Page not found now ... manual search turns up nothing about 30 mins too late it seems

Same here, saw it at work and thought i'd order it once i got home, didn't think they'd go so fast:(

Balls i saw it at work too and started to post it as a new thread then got distracted and got called away.

Im sure it will turn up again somewhere.

Such an immense film! Does anyone know of a good deal for it on BluRay? :P

still too expensive, waiting for around £3.99:whistling:

Great Film, must be quite special in HD!

Thanks for this. It's not expired as the title suggests. I just bagged it for £4.99 + quidco.

Been waiting to see (and buy on HD-DVD) for ages.

Yay, must have been a website error yesterday, its working now. Either that or they have more stock now. Anyways, ordered, heat + rep added.

Just ordered a copy - been after it for ages and wondered when it was gonna come down in price in line with some of the other sub £5 releases.

Amazing movie, must be watched in HD to be fully appreciated! Heatos added! Mucho gratis!

£17.93 now :-(

Mine arrived today for £4.93. Very happy.
