I think the V20 would be better with superior blacks

Amazing TV

I have the V10 and it's amazing, I can only assume this is even better, and a fantastic price!

£700+ for a 42 inch....not that attractive sorry.....

Now £729.99

£700+ for this 42" ? that's what you've got to look at. Don't compare it to a simpler panel. Having said that, it's a good price but not a great deal as can be found for similar prices elsewhere ( amazon.co.uk/gp/…new ) acording to a tracker was £660 yesterday.

Isn't there a 50 inch viera for about £600 from currys right now???

Seems expensive for a 42 inch

Great deal !

Better than bog standard Tv's which people tend to buy as they think the're cheaper so better.

looks like its now £729.99 ill amend

Exactly, this panel is the Barcelona of Plasmas!

[Sarcasm]
I saw a beko 50" tv for £400, that's a much better price than this one, so it makes this a rubbish deal
[/Sarcasm]

Some people just look at the price of a tv and think that it's best to get the biggest for the cheapest price... Not always the case. This deal isn't amazingly hot, as someone else said above, can be had for similar prices elsewhere. But, compared to previously, and compared to other 42" tvs, this is a good price...

That's the problem so many people are so willing to say hey it's just a tv. It's like saying a Ferrari is just a car and a ford has more seats and costs less. but that's fine there will always people who will be happy with a cheaper TV, I'm just not one of them :-)

I prefer the look of an led/lcd anyday and much less..

@titanwars,
find me an LED 40/42" with the specs as this, for less (not LG)

Specs are meaningless, since they all lie, and they're measuring different things anyway.

You need proper professional reviews with high-quality equipment.

what, cos you can get a 50" alba for £200??
you clearly have no idea at all what you're talking about

Good set. Not an amazing price (Seen it for £699 before). Shame the 50Hz bug affects this range of plasmas.

I've got the V20, great TV. I'm selling it though for a projector as I don't really make the most of it in terms of day to day usage.

I got an email from amazon this morning about a clearance on electronics and saw a panny 50 inch plasma, full hd and freeview HD for £549

No idea how good it is but on specs above listed seems like a kick ass telly.

The g30 ended up at like 680 on amazon, but after comparing them in shops, i decided to order this v20 and i'm very happy with it! Only thing is getting used to it being a bit darker for gaming but i have to say for blue ray it is class.

Even standard definition looks fantastic.

All this stuff about the 50hz bug etc, i haven't bothered reading about it, people always find stuff with tv's and I just don't want to know and havent notice any problems after watching lots of movies, dvd's, football, games etc.
