But I could get two 14 inch Asda deli pizzas and two large tubs of Ben & Jerry's at full price for cheaper than this deal.

Never knew they did a pizza delivery service. Freshly cooked Asda pizzas delivered by the drivers, wow!

Asda do not send me spam texts every 5 minutes like Papa John's in Southampton do. I've never used Papa Johns for pizza.

has anyone tried them? if not, I would request not to. please dont take it otherwise. I am a pizza lover who likes to taste different pizza

Hi Ouenben, I've added the price to your deal title, thanks for posting & nice deal

Cheaper than that price if you get medium I think

I don't really order takeaway pizzas but I do love ice cream. Even with the ice cream deals that are always on you're looking at £5 for 2 tubs of B&Js so if you go for medium pizzas you're getting 2 pizzas for £7 delivered. I think this is pretty hot!

Why do you need a pizza delivered. Save money and spend the 12 minutes it takes to cook doing it yourself. Now that's a hot deal...

asda pizzas are as dry as a bone, lots of toppings yes, but cheese is poor quality and tomato base is so thinly spread you barely taste it.

hot deal

So many Pizza outlets around now.

Much prefer the local places that do some amazing deals

Prefer this to Dominos but shame there aren't any near me. Hot deal.

I'd agree with this. We had one tonight and keep a spare tube of tomato puree in the fridge just for when we do. They hardly ever put enough tomato on even when you ask them specifically.

Hotter than most of your moms.

Comparing supermarket pizzas to Dominos (and presumably Papa Johns) is like comparing watching a band or a football match at home on the TV instead of going to see it live at a stadium. It's the same thing but so much more better, and that's one if the reasons why it costs a lot more.

Voted cold as they normally are

Papa johns do great pizza's. They even got taken to court by Pizza Hut and won, proving they have better pizza's as their slogan stats! An asda pizza dont stand a chance next to a papa johns pizza!

Wish we had a local Papa Johns round our way. Only time I've ever had one was a lunch time buffet (which are always bland wherever you go) in their restaurant at Butlins. It was OK but nothing special. Though I reckon a proper one would be a lot nicer.

These free ben and jerry's tubs are only 150ml, not 500ml, which are usually £1.69 each.

So basically you're saying you "normally" eat them, yet on the other hand you claim you don't like them? Why waste the money then? Strange.

Not really. I'm sure most of the expense is from the delivery + service aspect rather than quality of produce.

asda pizzas are as dry as a bone,

The ones I buy arent.

I suspect the salt content of these delivered pizzas is sky high.

Just ignore this mccririck fella, he trolls most posts like this to try and get a rise from people. Don't feed the troll.

Papa John's is such a weird place. A few years back, we used to have one in Warrington and I had two pizzas from there during its existence. They were both sublime, maybe the nicest pizzas I've ever had, but then it shut.

A few years later, my bird moves to Uni (Liverpool) and I see there's a Papa John's, I try one to see if they're still immense and it was woeful, pathetically bland and the dip that came with it was the most vile thing I've ever smelt. Are they the same across the board like Domino's, or do they vary from store to store?

If these places are so great then why do they need buy one get one free and other gimmicks to get people in.

The pizza shop i go to does not do offers, does not deliver and only opens 4 days a week but there is a constant stream of people always going in. It does one size, 3 bases (Pan,thin, deep, none of this stuffed crust, cheesy bites rubbish) and everything is made fresh on site, not in a factory in Milton Keynes or other locations

Why people keep falling for the same old stuff i will never know. Try a real pizza shop the difference in quality will really surprise you.

People don't 'fall' for anything. If someone likes Domino's or Pizza Hut then whats the problem with that?

Also the idependent pizza places by me have seriously questionnable hygiene, they are the kind of places that churn it out cheap as possible for people falling out of clubs at 4am. I would rather go to Pizza Hut and at least know there is some sort of cleaning rota etc in place and I am going to get consistant pizza.

That being said I usually make my own base and have it super fresh unless I am feeling lazy.

nice one,cheers

Oh my god. Idiots spouting about Asdas pizza ranges. What a surprise.

Great tasting Pizza. I'd never pay for one with out a BOGOF though. LMAO at the idiots talking about Supermarket pizzas... that is like comparing Messi to a player from the conference.

Pizzas take about 10 minutes in the oven.

These pizzas are amazing. I do like the ASDA pizzas though too but the Pappa John's pizza's are in a different league IMO. Heat added :-)

Whether Asda is better or worse its like comparing a restaurant deal to staying in and doing the cooking. Idiots

never had a problem with Papa John's myself, and you can register an account online and earn reward points on every order....

comparing supermarket to takeaway is silly, you get half the choice in the supermarket, and being a lover of really spicy food takeaway is the only option - supermarkets think a bit of spicy beef is adventurous!

yeah takeaway isn't cheap, but that's the same with every prepared food....

dunno where £17.49 came from... at my local it's £17.99 for the largest pizza - these are actually bigger than dominos large, and bigger than anything you get from the supermarket... so 2 would quite easily feed 8 people.... so £2.25 each - pretty fair really....

The name Scrooge comes to mind when reading some of these comments. When you see a deal on a phone do you comment saying you can buy a 5 year old one for £10? Or why buy a kindle when you can just go out and buy a book?

Bore off!
