Oh the entitlement.
Wouldn't you reduce the nintendo selects first before an original. Not that I am complaining, but logical to me.

Yeah but I guess the originals qualify as "old" stock.

Shops don't care about those proper covers like us gamers do 😁
Just went to collect mine and it was the select version they had under both product codes. Anyone picked theirs up confirm if they got the original cover?

Then they have given you the wrong one as the catalogue codes are different.

Oh fair enough, I will still keep mine then as it is still a good price, although I am worried this might be the same for some of the other 3ds titles, but I hope not.

You're right but I'm not too fussed to be honest. Both say Selects in the product title though which confuses things. I'll have to double check the code on the yellow sticker attached to the game when I get a moment.

@ScottyW has confirmed that both codes have been stuck on the selects version when they collected.

my local had no selects version available, I was likely just lucky enough to have a local store that had old stock. worth pointing out when the first wave deals hit my local had everything even all the crazy ones like starfox 3d, hey pikmin, dragon quest for £2.5. (though i got all of those ordered in the early hours)
