Good for backing up pc or better cloning with acronis true image?

Acronis became very bloaty a couple years ago so we stopped using it. I don't know about the new versions.

Macrium reflect we use professionally, and I use the free version on my home PC. Its light, fast and has been almost faultless in 5 years we have been using it. I would recommend that personally.

A lot of professional system admins recommend Veeam Agent (also free version available). And its light and fast, but for me Macrium was just more reliable.

Not tried Paragon backup though, so can't comment as to how they compare..
Are we the product?

Hard disk organiser that takes up too much space on the hard drive? The irony.

Nice, cheers mate
Was free not long ago unless it was slightly thing product
Is this compatible with Mac? Also I only tend to use my Mac for work everything else is backed up in the cloud. Is it worth downloading this?

What restrictions does this license have?
Would add them if any but out for daily exercise just now.

From what I can tell, compared to the "hard disk manager advanced" version, this free one doesn't have the drive copy function. Otherwise it has the partition manager, drive wiper and backup and recovery functions

Is Acronis free?
heat whoOP-whoOP!
Spot on.heated.
OMG, I just bought it for £44 last night. I got it because it can optimise and compress the MFT which I'm OCD about. I've formatted and copied over data simply to have a contiguous MFT before and it seems there is no preventative measures like changing the MFT zone reservation size (MFT gets fragmented with any value).

Doesn't seem to. It has partition recovery so it may repair issues with partitions. But for data recovery its not clear. Try the Paragon Rescue Kit to go with it, but i think thats a boot disk.

For a free data recovery option you can try recuva.

Windows does all this lol...
Macrium Reflect Free is a good package. Have been using it about a year and it's been reliable.
Does this version have backup with file/folder exclusion? Most free backup software don't have this
EDIT: I can confirm that this version has file exclusion! Here is a full list of options when backing up:
Scheduling
Full, incremental, and differential backup with backup retention
Notifications
File/folder exclusion
Compression
Splitting
Password protection
Volume raw processing
Before/After backup scripts

Cheers OP.

Will this do a network backup to NAS? Been looking for something simple to backup my Dad's laptop. Wish MS included something akin to TimeMachine for SOHO users.
So I currently have a Win10 PC which has several primary/logical partitions on a single 500GB HDD. Would any of the products mentioned on here let me ... add an SSD drive, clone all the partitions from the HDD to the SSD and them remove the HDD ? And would the PC still work as before ? And would I be able to backup the SSD to somewhere else ?
Edited by: "AdamBrunt" 27th Apr
We're using the free commercial version of Macrium Reflect for system backups in our company and some time ago had to restore one of them in a critical situation. It worked perfectly.

We've got more trust in this than in the built-in Microsoft server backup tool.

Not sure about the other programs mentioned here, but I've done this several times with both the free home edition and the free commercial editions of Macrium Reflect without any difficulties.

Thanks. I was worried about the MBRs and stuff ( if that even is a thing anymore )

Is it all relatively straight forward and easy to do for someone who is tech savvy but new to Macrium Reflect ?
This or football manager for lockdown?

The program takes care of the MBR. If you're a bit savy and used other backup programs before you should be fine. Here's a video of the process: youtube.com/wat…4_4
