Is there a certain amount needed to spend ? It's not working for me.

No minimum spend, I just used it for a parcel of £3 odds and it worked.

Make sure you video any packages you send with this company making sure you get the start and end of the tape measure in shot. Make sure you weigh the parcel as well and take photographic evidence. If you don't you may find that about two weeks after they collect your parcel they may email you and say that your parcel was randomly selected for audit and the "volumetric" weight was under declared. This means you entered the sizes wrong.

I used this company last year. Their collection and delivery service was spot on but.......Two weeks later I got an email. I had taken pictures and they did they wanted to see both ends of the tape. Luckily Amazon were still selling the product and I sent them a link to their website which showed the carton measurements exactly as I declared.

This left a real bad taste and after a bit of research I saw that I wasn't the first who had a parcel randomly selected. If anyone from parcel hero reads my post then do yourselves a favour. Just charge more in the first place and don't try and raise your profits by unscrupulous means.

Thanks

Parcelhero is not the company who send the parcels. They are a broker. Which company are you talking about?

unfortunately dealing with them is like talking to the stupidest couldn't care people ever!

4 of them just couldn't understand why them not being able to send me labels in the evening was a problem.
or why after promising to send them by 9am, nothing being sent by 9.30am (spent 25mins on hold from 9.05) and courier turning up and being sent away either. Nor that I then spent most of day waiting for the courier to return. Go figure!

Their carrier was UPS. However, they failed to provide any evidence from UPS. Its makes no difference who they use. My contract was with them not whoever they use. Here is the first email they sent.

We sorry to inform you that UPS has audited your shipment and found that the weight or dimensions you provided to us was inaccurate and this has affected the billable weight that was used to calculate the cost of your shipment.

ParcelHero® offers prices up to 60% cheaper than the cost of going direct, and because our prices are so low, when the carrier charges us for a higher weight, we are unfortunately unable to absorb these costs. We hope you understand that in order to keep our costs to you, our valued customer so low, we have no choice but to pass on any additional charges we receive from the courier.

Now they were only asking for an additional £2.30 and it wasn't really worth my time to contest it but.....it's the principle in that I knew I was right and someone was trying to con me. Fair enough if I had made a mistake, which they accused me of, but it was four emails later that they finally backed down when I produced the evidence from Amazon. I said whilst an individual may make a mistake I doubt if the largest online retailer would make exactly the same mistake on the measurements I provided.

Too many people are reporting being mugged for supposed oversize/overweight charges for it to be other than a revenue-raising policy. You aren't seeing this pattern with other brokers or the same couriers direct. Some people have been taken for £50 or £60 with no redress. As we saw above, evidence ignored.

My only experience with them was dire. They failed to pass the order on to Hermes, falsely blame Hermes, collection only after waiting in three days and constantly messaging them.

Code wont work for me

blimey, trust advisor reviews are aweful - cold

cold after negative comments

Sent parcel about a year ago, PH sent few emails about £5 being credited to my account. Checked last week and I have £15 credit
Used them to send parcel with Hermes, Quidco cashback tracked fine, even using account credit. Always use parcelshop drop off as can't be asked to wait for courier all day. No problems for me...

Used before always use drop off
