Parcel2Go Free collection/delivery up to £10 NEW CUSTOMERS

I have just been told by a Parcel 2 Go livechat Advisor that within the week they are launching a new customer offer for a free collection and delivery for an order under £10.00 it's not on yet but I wanted to post ASAP in case anyone is planning to post something in the next few days, as could be worth the wait. He said it was new customers only though.

They really do live by their name Parcel 2 go, my last parcel certainly went......in to the abyss via Hermes. Parcel2Go almost told me where to go too. Never again bunch of erm erm erm!

I have sent a few things with them and haven't had an issue so far. Fingers crossed it stays that way. Going to sign up as a new customer for this deal though

Had a similar experience. They are cheap and great... right up until the point something goes wrong at which point they become nothing short of a nightmare to contact, deal with or get anything resolved. Pays ya money...

Stay away from City Link as the courier, stick with Parcel Force or TNT.

I've only had nightmares with City Link.

Used them recently with a previous deal here. Brilliant. Was able to track my parcel all the way through to collection.

not a good firm to use when things go wrong. failed to delivery my parcel three delivery attempts in two days and no card left. charged me £25 if i wanted my parcel back or they would dispose of it. guess when they start offering deals like this they are struggling to keep customers

Used to use parcell2go had many problems & they don't give a monkeys. Paid extra for a Saturday delivery failed no refund for the extra paid no compensation. Booked collection for am pick up (cost more) turned up later in the evening about 6:30 no one was in to give them the parcel (no refund for the extra cost of the service)+ plenty more problems. It didn't seem to matter on the courier used so I put it down to parcel2go making mistakes. Use Parcel monkey never had a problem & very good customer service.

I use them very frequently and have never had an issue so hot deal from me!

All of the couriers are great including RM... if they deliver.
As soon as they c...k up they wash their hands off.
Hang on... that reminds me of most of the services running in this country.

I agree, never use CityLink.

Had a just released mobile phone coming from dialafone once, tracking showed it was at the Bristol Depot. Never got it, they made up loads of lies for days until I went to the depot and guess what....my phone had gone missing!

Fir larger items I've found the Anyvan business model a lot cheaper providing you are willing to wait a few days for pickup

...

Not really a deal as not actually live yet. Mightn't even happen.

I always pay for the insurance so if it does get lost at least I can claim, might cost a few quid more but does work out in the end.

I sent a le creuset cast iron pot using parcel to go via my hermes i had sold on ebay 3 days later i got an email from the buyer the cast iron pot was in 3 pieces and the boxed was split open he did send pics so i had to give him his money back

I refer to these cowboys as www.parcel2goMissing.com -Sent five parcels with them in the past with only 1 successful delivery. 2 were no-shows, 2 went missing.......and that was a general paid service (without any promotions attached) oO

I've used Hermes more than 50 times and they've been brilliant. Very quick delivery. There were two occasions where they lost my console, and I was refunded within a week. All I sent in was an invoice showing how much I'd sold the lost item for. The brilliant thing is, Royal mail would only refund you how much you bought the item for.

Edit: Ive never used parcel2go, only Hermes directly, Just though I'd give my experience due to the negative Hermes comments earlier

I'll wait then.

Let me know when/if this deal ever materialises.

the extra payment is worthless. example arrives broken they simply say you didnt package it. gets lost. they will estimate its value and it wont be the same as yours

I have used Hermes many times without any issues. My parcels have always been delivered on time.

Worst parcel service ever - my £100 keyboard disappeared a day after they picked it up. Customer service couldn't have been more difficult to contact and more unhelpful. The fact that they don't have a contact number or email address on their website pretty much says it all.

Isn't Parcel2go just a comparison website for delivery firms?

Hence "they" don't actually lose your parcel.

So it's a bit like getting angry at "USwitch" because your electricity bill was wrong, or getting angry at "GoCompare" because your car insurance offered you a low value for a write off.

Thankyou for mentioning it.

The only thing I ever sent with Parcel2Go arrived in pieces.

The 'compensation' that they offered was 25% of the value of the item sent - supported by eBay sales receipts, etc. - and they initially refused to refund the price of the delivery service itself.

The 'complaints' department did not reply to three emails I sent them - I eventually had to chase the complaints department via the 'quality' department instead!

After twenty six emails, to six different people (there was no chain of consistency when dealing with my complaint or refund request), I eventually had the cost of the service refunded - but not adequate compensation for the loss.

AVOID unless your parcel has no value - monetary or sentimental!

Parcel2go take the payment and arrange for the collection.

You don't pay the courier directly - it's like paying uSwitch for electricity and gas provided by British Gas.

It adds a middleman in the way when things go wrong.

Parcel2go aren't responsible for the bad deliveries or damage/loss etc it's the couriers However it is them who offer the customer service after a problem so fair enough. I haven't had a problem so will definitely use this when live

Barge pole and wouldn't touch come to mind. Cheap but so are many more, customer services is a joke.

Very bad company never again

Yes, avoid at all costs!

Anyone tried this through Interparcel

"Our popular UPS Store2store service has been reduced to 99p, for packages up to 5kg"

Might not suit every situation but with loads of access points available its certainly cheap if drop off and collection are OK for you.

failed to collect a parcel 3 times from me I still use them but drop of at a shop.

I will NEVER EVER use this company again!

Why:

(1) They lost my steam generator iron.

I bubble wrapped it, packed it well etc. but didn't anticipate the item could get lost!
It wasn't a small box!
My fault for not insuring it for it full value, but I think most people take a gamble on that.
I lost over £120 but was only compensated for £20 !!!

(2) They delivered the item by leaving it in someone's porch (thus no signature).
The recipient claims he didn't receive the item!

This is not acceptable!
If there's no one in, deliver to a neighbour or to someone that will sign for it and leave a card through the door.

Anyway, that's my 5 shillings worth!

bunch of w anchors took 6 months to get refund when one of there couriers lost my parcel. They will dio anything possible not to pay out.

i did sent a parcel last week and went missing they found it but not sure if they are to send it back to me.. anyone with the same experience?

Parcel2go are a customer of the various courier companies, all you are doing is sending parcels on their account. They can offer cheaper prices as they can negotiate better volume rates, add a bit on and charge that amount to you, simple but quite clever business with little overheads

had my Hermes damage parcel I sent via thes. lucky I paid for extra insurance. after showing pictures I got 80 quid back from them. little annoying but would recommend vs direct company's
