A flight from Tokyo to London is usually 12-13 hours...I wonder why these are so long?

Aeroflot are a Russian airline, not sure you would have to stop in Moscow as these are direct flights. Never flown with Aeroflot but they frequently have good deals.

These flights do have a stopover at SVO prior to continuing onto NRT. Usually on a A321 or A330
Ah I see, I could only see the direct didn't realise they stopped. No issue with that though, still saving on UK prices.
flew Aeroflot back in the 70's terrible airline, but i would think things have improved since then. Do you need a transit visa
Not flight related but Tokyo is a truly amazing city. I would recommended anyone visit there! Train to Kyoto takes no time for a day trip or overnight.

No, as long as you're there for less than 24 hours. There's little to do in the transit area though and prepare to be massively fleeced in the airport. I bought a piece of apple pie and a coffee from the Costa there and it came to around £11.

Still cheaper than some places at ARN (Arlanda, Stockholm, Sweden) where some places were charging up to €15 for a slice of cake.
Ee desu ne! Totemo yasui desu
Edreams aren't financially protected. Be wary.
Was actually planning on doing this exact deal a few months ago for October - but those dates seem to have gone up in price - this was a deal from holidaypirates.
Aeroflot are supposed to be much better these days they are 4 star on Skytrax.

Those are countries that are generally expensive anyway. You should never really expect a bargain in Scandinavia.

In this case it is just the Russian being their typical robbing **** selves and taking massive advantage of a captive audience that is likely to largely consist of foreigners.

Avoid eDreams! Plenty of bad press in the past with them. I think they were on watchdog a few years ago.
e.g:

Did a similar itinerary a few years ago (2012) on Aeroflot. FCO-SVO-NRT-SVO-LHR. The European legs on A320s, the Asian legs on A330s. Decent enough service, new planes (at the time), and no delays. I would happily use Aeroflot on international routes again.

Oh, and people still clapped on landing at Moscow, and the person sitting next to me on each flight stood up to shake my hand when I arrived at the seat!

Just booked on expedia for £259, only 5 seats left!

I think you could say that about quite a few places not just Edreams. The likes of Opodo, Budgetair, Cheapo Flights, Travel Up. That said I've had sub £200 flights to Tokyo honoured, UK to Hawaii for just over £300, Open Jaw Peru and sub £150 return to NY, all booked with those I've mentioned above and had no problems. Granted there have been some error and glitch fares which haven't been honoured but you take your chances. People moan when things go wrong but never say good things when they go well. I'd book with Edreams or any other OTA.

never flown on Aeroflot myself but the safety record is atrocious I believe.
Tokyo is truly an amazing place, I spent 2 weeks in Japan in 2014 and to this day nothing has beaten it for me...a truly fantastic country and amazing people. I wanted to go back last July but money was a little tight im seriously considering visiting end of September since im financially in a way better place now.

If your a gamer, anime lover or general nerd its heaven! also if any of you have gone for this deal or are heading out there please do yourself a favour and buy a Japanese rail pass, it will save you a ridicoulous amount of money and get you to places like Kyoto, Osaka ect in a matter of mere hrs via the shinkansen which are also quite a sight to behold.

I was gutted when my time was up and I had to fly back I got used to seeing tons of drop dead gorgeous Japanese women walking around

Opodo and eDreams are the same company.

The problem is there is so much competition in the market that places keep undercutting each other and often sell flights below face value. They then rely in people adding extras or kickbacks from the middleman. Either way flights have such wafer thin margins that service is basically nil as a consequence.

That said, even paying extra isn't going to guarantee you that.

I too have to rate Japan highly and and spent two and a half weeks there. I had a rail pass for some of the trip and used public buses and 'slow' trains. Everything runs so efficiently and on time! We did some amazing hiking too in the Japanese Alps in Koya season with some very dodgy ladders on the side of mountains! The cleanliness in all accommodation and generally within Japan is amazing.

On a side note, I was at the ideal home show recently and lots of places were promoting Japanese style toilets, it's the way forward!!
OP, how did you find this kind of deal? I mean, you have to select different journey start and end cities, no other way to get this kind of fare.
Aeroflot is rubbish, I won't use them for such a long flight.
Japan is a wonderful country though, I want to go back
This deal or similar price has been available quite a few times. It's been on various sites not only edreams. I've booked a trip for December/January a few months back at 240. Got my details/confirmation through from Aeroflot right away so that was positive. I've read comments of others who took the deal, mostly all positive. Some had a change in Moscow and some indicated that they stopped in Moscow and stayed on same plane.
Saw this deal few months ago didn't take it due to airline. I'm tempted
Booked for June next year, £260. Good deal in my book.

Thanks to the OP. Booked via expedia and worked fine
Booked direct with Aeroflot, £259 in May next year for 2 weeks. No cashback, but it's only 1% and is best deal direct with the airline; in case any problem.

Wouldn't touch edreams, opodo with a barge pole.

Also available from Rome appox. £10 cheaper.
