UPDATE 27/03/17 09:25 ###### extended 48 hours #####
Just looking for a cheap break for the kids for the Easter holidays and didn't think this was a bad price. Park holidays have caravans in various locations in the south including Devon and dorsett. Prices start for a 3 night break for 4-6 people in a bronze grade caravan at £69. With this grade you do need to bring your own bedding but everything else is included including you entertainment passes which gives you access to swimming etc. I've gone for a gold plus caravan at Felixstowe beach park which is a caravan for up to 8 people, bedding and passes all included with this grade and a 2pm check in(4pm with bronze)The gold plus is larger in size and more modern. Once again this includes everything and is the price you pay. There's 5 of us going and the total came to £112 (£5.60 pp per night) and normal price is £407. This is for 4 nights from the 3rd of April. Don't forget the 5% from quidco either. Hope this helps as it's reasonable if on a budget and the I've stayed at the one at Rye harbour before. Just beware that some have only outdoor pools but it seems most are heated. Flash sale finishes tommorrow!

My kids school finish on the 7th. Good deal if your kids have different weeks off from my part of the country i guess.

You just worried me there as I had to confirm mine were of from the 3rd and fortunately they are. Like you said different areas vary but Essex are off from the 3rd along with Kent. A should have said the 2nd week looks more expensive by doing a quick search.
Sucks, £300 for the 14th, some flash sale, that's summer prices!
great deal. my kids in Nottinghamshire also break off school from the 1st April. thanks
Broadland sands is very cheap for mon 3rd April. £69 for basic but a 10 berth £94! I didn't even know they made a caravan that big!
A week early for us
4 nights £69 hot from me.
Prices seem to have gone up a bit. 3 nights were coming up at just over £90 yesterday but same break now £119..
Most of their vans and parks are very grim indeed... I'll pass
Will mention this to my missus. Thanks for the post
so had a look ... read the reviews from trip advisor to holiday watchdog all parks in devon sound a health hazard .. think I will pass. Sounded good but after you look a bit closer ... looks to be a holiday nightmare or at leadt not my idea of basic.

Im not a snob but surely that many negatives is not worth the time and maybe worth saving up for a hpliday of memories not disappointment and wanting to turn home ...

each to their own

Same, I almost laughed when I read the reviews on the Park Holiday website, most reviews were about the website not the park, what a load of crap & the Chalets were all slated big time. Tripadvisor seemed to follow a trend of 1 star then 5 star, probably a rep posting a 5* to offset the 1* oO

Ended up booking with Parkdean for a site in Devon, no sale and it cost less!
We have used them for Cornwall a few times so we know what to expect.

So how much did you pay, and where, when?
Park Resorts have quite good facilities and their caravans are nicely kept very clean. We've been to a few of their parks and feels like home. We booked for Easter in Cornwall but paid over £400 for 7 nights as peak season but worth it.

£269 for a modern 3 bed caravan, 4 days 17th April in Challaborough Bay. Park was £319 for a like caravan (gold), mines basically on the beach without a dodgy cliffside decent for a change, indoor pool etc and in a very very quiet location unlike the Golden Sands we looked at next to a industrial estate and a long walk to the beach. Dawlish sands is also a long walk to the beach, next to the railway and £306 for a gold spec caravan. Landscove was on a cliff with no beach, just massive rocks so we didn't look into it as our kids want to go to the beach even if it's bloody snowing and the last option was Riviera Bay and that is the mouldy old freezing chalets with 1 heater for the entire place so not much good in April!

What reviews were you looking at? I've only looked at Dawlish but it's 4.5/5 average and more Excellents+Very Goods than there is Average+Poor+Terrible
I stopped at Dawlish last October, it was okay, the pool and club house need updating, quite tired looking.
Just back from 4 nights at Broadland Sands for £79. Was short notice deal. Very impressed for money. Basic but clean caravan with bedding even though didn't pay extra for. Nice site and free vouchers for bar/restaurant. Would return.
