NOTE: All applicable import taxes are charged to you by Amazon at the time of purchase and there is nothing else to pay when the set arrives in the UK...e.g. no clearance or customs fees to the Royal Mail as it's all paid up front.

Mentioning which as an aside...if anyone is thinking of buying 2 sets you are cheaper to buy them individually as when you add 2 to the basket together you get charged import fees as well due to the total for the 2 sets going above the threshold figure

INFO ABOUT AMAZON GLOBAL STORE:
  • Shop Amazon’s worldwide selection
  • Reliable international delivery in as little as 2 business days
  • Sold and shipped from abroad. All import customs duties and taxes included at the time of purchase
  • Customer service and returns processed by Amazon.co.uk
  • Separate terms and conditions of purchase apply
  • Manufacturer warranty will not apply

The option for buying from Amazon USA through Amazon UK Global Store is at the top right hand side of the page. Price shows as £14.64 on the page and the postage is added on the final checkout page.

I know that to some this is a bit of an "acquired" taste with a bit of a "cult" following but for those that do enjoy (secretly or otherwise!!!) I thought it was a really good price as Region 2 UK issue at the moment is £61.42 from Amazon UK although you also need to be aware it is a Region 1 DVD Boxset and you'll need a multi-region player to play the set.

Thought this was worthy of a re-post as the price has dropped since I posted it in August. The price at time of posting works out approximately as follows but there may be slight fluctuations depending on exchange rate:

Item Cost = £14.64
Shipping = £5.28

TOTAL = £19.92

From Emmy Award-winning executive producers Greg Daniels (NBC's "The Office," "King of the Hill") and Michael Schur (NBC's "The Office," "Saturday Night Live"), "Parks and Recreation" is a hilarious ensemble comedy that follows Leslie Knope (Emmy and Golden Globe nominee Amy Poehler, NBC's "Saturday Night Live," "Baby Mama"), a mid-level bureaucrat in the Parks and Recreation Department of Pawnee, Indiana, and her tireless efforts to make her quintessentially American town just a little bit more fun.

Price has gone up 6p and shipping down 5p.

I'm out.

Who needs to enjoy it secretly? It's critically acclaimed and widely considered one of the best sitcoms of the last decade.

Ordered thanks. Can't see the UK complete boxset ever being this cheap.

One of my favourite

Amazing. But unfortunately I don't have a multi regional dvd player.

Just use a region hack, you'll be able to find one for your player I'm sure, just Google "region hack Panasonic B599" (whatever make & model number of your DVD player). Be worth doing just to buy this boxset alone, fantastic series, awesome price. Great deal.

We use a xbox one as our player, so I'm pretty sure that makes it tougher to achieve!

Just finished watching all 7 series on Prime. Love it, great price!

Thanks for reposting this tigger. This is one of my all time favourites. And the complete series under £20. It's a bargain. I paid a LOT more buying the series as they were released. Heat added.

Dispatched, arriving Saturday

me too (delivery by UPS i-parcel with track link tracking.i-parcel.com/), first time to shopping like this hope everything go smoothly.

Thanks OP, I get it at £19.98 (£14.70+ £5.23 delivery cost), I always want a physical one but to me too expensive to justify. What a bargain (my best buy this year, very happy)!

Is there anyway of separating items delivered by Amazon global on amazon.co.uk.
Was going to see whether it was cheaper to order toys from the global service.

Amazing. But unfortunately I don't have a multi regional dvd player.

There are several options to solve the problem....

1) Cheapest - As someone else mentioned look to see if there's a region hack available by searching on google.

2) Slightly more Expensive - I couldn't find a hack for the DVD player I had so bought a little handheld gadget on ebay that quite literally involved just following a set of instructions and pointing the gadget at the DVD player but guess it will depend on the DVD player you have as to whether there will be one available that works with your machine. Think I paid about £12 at the time but then I was going to use it with several DVD players so wasn't that much to spend when I averaged the cost out across the number of players I wanted to do.

3) Most expensive - you can buy a DVD player that has already been made multi-region prior to purchase. Depends on how many region 1 DVD's you would purchase as to whether this would be worthwhile and when I say most expensive they're really not that expensive...last time I looked they were between £20-£40 depending on brand.

Ah sorry just read your next comment about using an XBox as your DVD player and unfortunately have no idea how to get round the region coding on them...would suspect there must be some way but don't have a clue how to.

Thanks, I ordered the boxset in the end, just plan on ripping them and playing it that way. Nevertheless I appreciate the help!

Ah no problem...was just adding a bit to my reply regarding cost of multi-region players as they're not that expensive these days but if you're going to rip and play that will definitely work out cheaper than any of the solutions I was proposing...lol...

Think this link should take you to the front page for the Amazon US Storefront on Amazon UK and then you can enter whatever the name of the toy you were looking for is in the search box....

amazon.co.uk/s?m…h=1

However something to keep in mind as that it may not work out any cheaper to buy toys from Amazon global as depending on the item price you could be charged Import duties and the cost of shipping could also really bump the price up...e.g. I was looking at a Craghoppers Vest (bodywarmer to me) and although the item price was cheaper than in the UK the import duties were about £8 and the shipping was going to be between £15-£16 so didn't bother ordering...the other thing to note is that not all items are available through Amazon US for shipping to the UK.

I paid more last time I posted this as I ordered it then....cost me £25.87

I just have to keep reminding myself that even if it cost me more then it was still a hell of a lot cheaper than the UK set

sorry to hear that, on the bright side, it is a great box-set well worth over £50+ (if I might say).
