What have you based this on?

I have a Parkside Impact Driver, which uses the same battery as this and although it's a different usage, it lasts hours.

They are entirely different. Grinders, routers (and I expect this tool too) tend to use a lot more power continuously than the short bursts in an impact driver.

You're right an impact driver will last a lot longer than a planer; but my Parkside impact driver lasts as long as you would expect it to so there's no reason that this planer will last only 15 minutes.

This is a 2.0Ah 12v battery and the specifications of the planer are the same as this Bosch one: boschtools.com/us/…-p/

That link says 'delivers up to 33 Ft. of planing per battery Amp hour (Ah)'

So yeah, not 15 minutes, unless it planes 66 Ft. in those 15 minutes, which would make it a bloody fantastic planer!
