I'm not sure if this has been posted, i can't seem to find it.
I've been waiting for this to come on offer for a very long time and hooray, it's going to be on sale from this Sunday the 14/01/18

Lightweight compared to my bosch and better than those tiny £13-£14 ones you can get which crack and break but Most of all are slow and struggle with power and he holding charge.
I need it for a house move dismantling and for reassembling.

* 2-speed gearbox with 19 torque levels and a drill setting
* 60-minute fast charge and a 3-stage battery status indicator
* Includes 2 bits
* Single sleeve keyless chuck and automatic spindle lock
* No-load rotation speed: 0 – 350rpm (1st gear), 0 – 1,300rpm (2nd gear)
* Max. drilling diameter: 20mm in wood, 8mm in steel
* Integrated LED work light

The impact driver is on Sunday, not the drill, if you read my comment. I was saying better to wait unless you need it now.

Oh, the screwdriver is on sale this Sunday too, I'm sure the impact doesn't have speed options and a adjustable chuck? Also looks a bit more heavier..
I bought mine in November, looking back they were November and March last year.

It does have speed options, driver so no chuck, 1/4 hex. And bigger and heavier and far more powerful. But it's not what I'm on about.

Thank you, just wanted a slightly more powerful one than those 3.6v screwdrivers, nothing too serious, I just need the drill for the odd diy jobs

If you don't know what an impact driver is I'd suggest you read up on it before buying one.. Its pretty brutal damage to things if you overdo it/dunno how to use it.

Thanks, I know what they are, that's why I won't be investing in one anytime soon.
Can this drill through mortar

Can this drill through mortar

Hmm, probably? Mortar isn't that tough TBH, so I'd say yes. For bricks/blocks I'd want something with more grunt but for soft materials this is fine. I own a few parkside tools as well as bosch blues, and the lidl ones come up very good when price is considered.
This is smaller in size than the 20v drill that I picked up a few months ago. It looks similar in size to the sub compact 10.8v offerings from Dewalt and Bosch. I'll have a look at it on Sunday and if it's any good will get one as a back up for my DeWalt
I'd think of it more of a nice screwdriver that can be used for occasional light drilling when you don't need to get the big drill out, handy to have in the tool box. The only thing about the design I don't like is that the battery slots into the handle so the small footprint means it'll not stand up very well (similar to the Bosch)

Found this on YouTube, how big it looks in reality, nice and small, but had decent power
I actually quite like the look of that, but I already have 5 drills!

The Bosch 3.6 is only a screwdriver, which is perfect for smaller screws and tight places. I got mine years ago when these new smaller screwdriver/drill devices weren't available yet. So I've got the 3.6 screwdriver and 14v drill.
If I had to buy one now I'd just buy this one.
Hmm I still might do!
This might be a stupid question but can this drill be used to screw down pieces of wood...ive got a hole in the floor under the stairs and needed a drill to bolt down the wood to close the gap. is this drill powerful enough?

Depending on the size of the wood you are using as the patch, I would pre drill the wood to avoid any splitting but this should be fine.
What are the 2 bits included?
Also, does it come with the screw heads?

The 2 bits are Philips/cross head and flat head bits. Not drilling bits. I love mine.

What are screw heads?

I phoned customer service before I went to my local lidl

They Confirmed that this was an uk deal starting on the 14th of Jan

On the back of their advice and confirmation I went to my local only to find that this was not the case

I phoned them back and an agent said that it was a regional item and not being sold in London

I explained that customer service had advised me that I could attempt to bug one at my local as they would be selling the item, they were not selling the item so I just wasted my time

So she offered me a £10 voucher first class delivery. I went back two days later to buy the cordless drill as I thought it was worth £20 cash

Goes nice with the driver

Looks like the little bosch kit

It's a good weighty item this little cordless drill driver.

Just waiting to receive my impact driver from cousin as he is coming down in Feb

Can you tell me if the impact driver is 18v you are waiting on your cousin bringing?
And is that one currently in store?

20v as advertised in the magazine I have not received it from him yet as he will make ways down to London in Feb. It's the new impact driver this is a new model to the 18v one

The 20v one is the one currently in store I.e impact driver

Cordless drill currently in store is 12v

Not sure how much stock will be left now
Just picked one up (Manchester Prestwich / Sedgely - had several left) - had a rotting shed to dismantle and it was massively useful.
