perhaps when people are willing to pay a bit more!

TBH I bought a Bosh PSB impact driver that has 2 batteries and for light/occasional DIY I can't see any use for 2 batteries.
If you're serious about constant use then I suppose you pay for more/better.

I would actually prefer their separate cordless tools which can share batteries.
With this, one broken motor equals 4 broken tools.
