No hammer is a good thing as far as I'm concerned, it will be more compact and lighter. If I want to drill masonry, I reach for the sds.

they were selling parkside drill bits - anybody care to comment on quality?

Spot on, though handy for the odd one or two quick brick drills, good driver drill with 3yr warranty though

Checked one in store today, and noticed it's kinda heavy for what it is. Wonder if the weight translates in to quality.

oos for me anybody have any alternatives for me as my old one has died after 15 years

picked one up on Monday, looks exactly like this one but has hammer action. Nice little drill for the money.
