Interestingly this can be set to be an Orbital sander, which are less common these days. I find "Random Orbit" sanders tend to put more force into the "delta" bit and not the "orbit" bit.

This will fit nicely between my Bosch belt sander and Parkside detail sander, and I've got high hopes it can be used for polishing too, though it may be too fast.

Edit: I've got a couple of Parkside tools (die grinder and detail sander) and get on with both of them; E.g. the detail sander has some kind of anti-vibration system, not sure it's even marketed as having it.

Enjoy!

Great price. My orbital is my favourite power tool.
I did like my stanley one but it has one bad flaw the little rubber/plastic belt jumps off every time i start it... It makes the the orbital function. I was ok for 20 hours of sanding then this started and the batteries... Good thing i have 4 batteries and 2 chargers otherwise there is no way you can use it all the time. Only thing i like about it that my hand is not hurting from the vibration... ROGER have you tried this sander? It's cheap.. 😁
Is this any good for planing doors?

Thanks

Planning no, need a plane for that. Sanding down doors yes!
Ah no worries, thanks for that!

I've got their detail (mouse) sander and it seems really well made, rubber grip and anti-vibration so I'd assume this is the same. Got one coming so will update in here.
Tried last time on offer unfortunately, all I can say is rubbish! Found other park side stuff quite good/price but this 3in1 just isn’t any good.

Cheers I'll compare when I get mine.

Edit: The quality seems OK, however you can't switch to just oscillate/both/rotary like the description suggests.

What happens is if you put the square plate on, that screws to part of the sander that just oscillates. Then if you swap for the circular plate, that connects to a bit that spins. But you don't have any control i.e. it will still oscillate.

Probably still keep it though.

After seeing this deal on here I was at first a little sceptical, but regardless, I went off to Lidl today to buy one of these sanders. I found myself looking for any excuse to return it, but after using it for a bit it (on orbital setting) it seems half decent!

Will try out the other plates tomorrow as it's a bit late to be sanding on a sunday evening, but so far so good. Only real issue i have with it so far is the carry case could be a little better.

After my other sbnder went up in smoke last night, this is certainly a lot better than sanding by hand!

Thanks OP

You need to attack the carry case with a multi tool so you can fit the other bits in easily:

Without that you need to have the square plate on when you put it away, which is a faff.
