Testing review..

Had one of these for awhile and it's pretty good for the money.
For the price with the no questions returns these can't be beaten
For functionality they offer a battery powered version for £5 more which makes these tools even better for getting in those awkward places
Just be aware about this so called 3 years warranty. First 12 months you’re covered in the shop so you can bring it back no problem after that you have to send it to the manufacturer.

They are good though, had a problem with a grinder. Called them and they sent a new one within couple days - they didn’t even want the old one back and I actually received an updated model.
These tools are great - if you don’t have one already, it’s hard to go wrong at £25.

I second the comment about the cordless ones being *much* more convenient and versatile, but then I never seem to finish a job in a single battery charge so end up grabbing the wired one anyway.

Don’t make lots of hoops though had a problem with my wet dry, new motor body/cable etc after one phone call.
My old model from Lidl (without quick release) is still going strong 3 years later. I've punished it too. Most recently I had to spur off a double socket in the kitchen on a tiled area. I installed the grout removal blade and used it to cut a clean rectangle right through the tiles. Clean and neat.

You'll find plenty of other jobs where this is the only tool that does the job.
Got my Bosch ... For the same function at 30GbP but less accessories and consumables.

Oh well
Will this be better than the WORX WX679 that was mentioned here a few days ago?
Do agree I have 2 of these as managed to pick up the cordless one for £29.99 after a corded one couldn’t live without it now so handy and I 9/10 times gravitate to cordless one every time.

Had the same with aldi after the first year they said to contact the number in the back of the book , it was a dead number lol but they did refund when they tried it for themselves.
I bought the Aldi's version at the weekend 300W and only £16.99 down from £19.99
I've had one of these for years - the older model without the quick release button and it's still going great. Great value.

But it terms of functionality and brand? I bought the worx one and I'm not regretting my purchase but I'm curious if this is significantly better value.

I'm unlikely to claim on a warranty. Does the power make any real difference? More accessories are always good, I could do with the scraper attachment specifically. No one would say no to an extra fiver either!
I grabbed the worx deal...But I would like to know if these blades and atachments are compatible with the worx? or if not Can someone post (if possible?) a reliable blade set for the worx. Thank you for any help or feedback Guy`s.

Best Regards,

The Lidl one represents better value, wether or not you’d notice that value depends on what you intend to use it for and how often.

Personally I’d buy the Lidl one but it’s all down to what is available at the time, I’ve had to buy more expensive tools in the past because I needed for a job only to find its equivalent or better to be less money at a later date, sometimes it’s just down to timing.

I popped in to Lidl on the way home hoping to pick one of these up. Unfortunately they didn't have any.
Is this a new stock item?
