do you have one?

I'd agree with the comment about Lidl tools, they are usually very good. With this saw however, I would have to disagree. Firstly most of the boxes on the shelf were damaged in some way, and all of them had clearly been opened and resealed. I bought one anyway based on my trust of Lidl, and their excellent return policy. After getting the saw home and opening it there were some obvious problems. Part of the blade guard was bent to the extent that it almost touched the blade, and opening the guard with the flimsy handle caused it to bend even further; a definite design flaw. It is only thin sheet metal, but it should not be easily damaged in normal operation. This guard makes it extremely difficult to remove the blade as the bent metal gives almost no clearance. The riving knife was bent outside the kerf of the saw blade which would prevent the saw from cutting more than 6" into a workpiece.

I returned the saw to a different store and exchanged it for another one, which had the same issues, and actually missing an instruction manual this time. Judging by the resealed and damaged boxes, it leads me to suspect that these might have been previous customer returns. There is also a lack of protective plastic bags around the saw/cable etc which their tools usually have, further validating my suspicion.

In all, the Lidl return policy is solid enough that you can buy one of these and easily return it if there are any problems. If you don't mind bending metal back in to place then that is fine, but circular saws are very dangerous power tools when used incorrectly, and I have little confidence in it after discovering these issues. I hope this is helpful.

Ive had this 20volt cordless rip (circular) saw and i love it works really well cuts a beautiful straight line only thing is i was told it was £34.99 but got charged £49.99 so not best pleased at that
