Are tips easily available? Annoyingly with my Lidl soldering station, they aren't.
Can I buy it online or click an and collect?
I started off with one of these when i got into RC quads as a hobby. Decent for the money, upgraded to a gas powered one which is much easier to use and more convenient
I had one of these I bought about 4 years ago. It was good but over the last 2 years the tip gradually rotted and it was completely non-replacecable. Had to bin the entire setup. Very wasteful.

Moved on to a TS-100, I much prefer the digital temperature display and it heats up in about 20s using a laptop power supply.

You can get a clone of a HAKKO T12 Handle from AliExpress & reuse the Lidl base for the power supply ...
The TS series are great but a bit dear.
Is this in store? Can’t see a delivery option?

Would this be a good starter for fixing (trying to fix) solar lights? Am also thinking I'll use it for any pc / xbox / small electronics repairs? Wanting to learn how to solder etc. seems cheap enough. Are there any other bits needed? Shaped tips? Extras lidl sell with it?
I think they had a cordless battery one... If its better?
Definitely not impressed with Hukd deleting comments recently...
Can't go wrong for the price but don't expect much quality. Should be fine for begineers

Yes, it's an ideal learning tool. You could also take the items to a local repair cafe if there is one near you. They teach you while they fix things if you ask.

In store on Sunday 19th according to the in store magazine.
Have the battery one which heats up near instantly and lasts ages on a set of rechargeable AA’s however fancy this for the stand and mat thing to wipe your tip on
Yep, in store today. Picked one up.
They also had welding wire - am I correct in assuming this isn't usable for the soldering station?
Picked one up this morning, the very small rolls of solder wire, spare flat point and cleaning cloth are tucked away in a little compartment. Seems a reasonable bit of kit. Thanks OP for posting, heat added.
Picked 2 up on the 16th. First one packed in within 3 days. 2nd one stopped working today 😔
The light for the on/off switch comes on but both are cold to the touch even after waiting an hour with them set at max heat.
Both going back tomorrow.
