Given that you always have to be able to see the drone by eye, does this mean to fly this you always need two people?

CAA requires a competent observer when flying FPV which I hope they realise is codswallop as when you fly FPV you often have a better view of things than the bored person stood next to you looking at facebook. Competent observer is just the start the Nanny state want to introduce 250g as max weight before registration which I bet this is! Also new flying restrictions planned too. Ps save hundreds and build the FT Arrow.

All drone regulation is pretty pointless as the people who use them incorrectly are not all of a sudden going to start using them to rule.
As a conscientious pilot of both quads and wings I get totally wound up by the whole legislation thing! Stupid people will continue to do stupid things. Making people register won't stop unregistered drones flying drugs into prisons or the brain dead flying in controlled airspace. It will just add costs to the hobby. But with amazon queuing up to fly drone drops they don't want hobby pilots getting in the way of making money.

I only fly quads... But I do agree with u that it is kinda absurd with the legislation. The stupid one gonna stay stupid despite having a license it's like having a car license but never bother to give a signal. Which is why now I'm just sticking with toy and smaller quads only...
