Aldi brochure. They also did some for Asda a while back, but don't know if they do now. How do I know? You can visit the factory/bakery in Huntly and they were stupid enough to have people repackaging in full view of the visitor's gallery.

I will have to get some from Aldi then. Cheaper too, I guess.

Never had Aldi's but if Deans make them for Aldi doesn't mean they're as good most likely cheaper recipe.

That’s what I was thinking. Will be worth trying though as Aldi is only 5 mins away from me.

Aldi's is all butter. £1.99 for 360g

Dean's is either Traditional Shortbread - Wheat Flour (Wheat Flour, Calcium Carbonate, Iron, Niacin, Thiamin), Vegetable Margarine (palm oil, rapeseed oil, water, salt, natural flavouring), Sugar, Maize Starch, Butter (Milk), Salt.

or All Butter - Wheatflour (Wheat Flour, Calcium Carbonate, Iron, Niacin, Thiamin), Butter (31%) (Milk), Sugar, Maize starch, Salt

I struggle a bit with traditional and palm oil and rapeseed oil in the same product.
Looks fantastic price
Thanks , also what's on Day 10 pls 🤔

Im glad I'm not the only one put off by the rapeseed and palm oil which has somehow found its way into the food chain. Nasty ingredients.

I will check out the Aldi shortbread. 😊
This isn't proper shortbread
Are these as good as Walkers? An alternative to Walkers is Lid's McAllisters shortbread 45pence (when on offer) which tastes better than Aldi's imo.

Agreed....Lidl's own brand shortbread is one of the best out there in my opinion...Aldi's does not compare...nor do most other supermarket brands!

We have the same taste in shortbreads!! I've just checked that Lidl's is also 32% butter like Walkers.

I regret buying 2 boxes of the Paterson's Scottish Cream Shortbread...bleurgh I'll either give them away or make crumble toppings onto ice cream and desserts.
