£10 (worth up to £15.25) for a speciality sandwich, a slice of gateau and a hot drink for one person.

I did this the other day and got a club sandwich, came with crisps and a salad, a slice of cake which is very big and a pot of tea.

Thanks OP, just bought a couple of vouchers. Really enjoy going to PV for cake. Would be good to try their sandwiches.

awesome cakes, love that place. Used to get birthday cakes from there many years ago, way too expensive now.

it was owned by the chairman of channel 4, pizza express and greyhound racing. not sure if it still is. stupid prices in upmarket areas of London and now around the country since he bought it up 10 years ago. interesting that a sandwich and cake is called a meal.

Certainly around London these places are known for being terrible. The cakes are not real patisserie items but modified mass production factory cakes. Just b/c the window is lined with large cakes does not mean they taste nice!

Service is often and poor and the price is relatively high when you consider what your getting. There are independent bakers and patisseries all over the country where your money will get you better products!

strange, don't know what they are like now, but used to be one in soho and it was amazing. That was over 10 years ago though so maybe changed since they sold up.

Tried their cheesecake in Derby. The one that I'm buying from Ocado is like 10 times better.

They are terrible all over the country, just garbage food

cakes are all frozen...looks are deceiving.

I been to the factory where they make it. Yes they are mass produced and frozen too. If you order the cakes they defrost it first so it looks fresh. Their other branches is called druckers.

Love this place!

A wrecked brand. Once fantastic, now just overpriced mass-produced supermarket food. Better food to be had in M&S and Waitrose - and Aldi for that matter!
