Buying any kind of memory from eBay is not a great idea. I learnt my lesson the hard way many years ago

New, sealed and Paypal protection just in case
Pretty bad for Ryzen but not a tragedy with Intel parts. If you have a tight budget and do not intend to add parts later then it's still better to have 16GB dual channel than a faster 8GB single.

However if you buy the single faster 8GB and add a second module a little later that would be better. Different strokes for different folks.

aS VULACNPROJECT said .. especially if you have an itx with only two slots . I have one 8gb @ 3000 or two 4gb x 2133 .... I favor 1 x8gb and 1x4Gb for 12GB of memory
2133Mhz ......... but if they overclock to 3000Mhz or more

Got 32GB Corsair LPX 3000 for £185 a few months ago. It was advertised as used but turned up with untouched security seals. Absolute bargain which I would never have got close to elsewhere.

I also sell my old memory on eBay and always run a full memcheck before I send it.
I appreciate that there are a lot of dodgy types on eBay, but there are genuine ones out there too. At the end of the day eBay will still side with you if it turns out to be a dud.
