If it is the none retina version then yes. I have seen some people saying that Mac can be more picky about the RAM (hence why you'll see crucial etc saying Mac compatible) but i think this should be ok.

I think the macbook pro from that gen requires 2x 4GB 1600MHz and wont support 1x 8GB 1600MHz:

I don't know much about Macs, but searching for '13-inch, Mid 2012 8gb stick' the first result is a thread where they say it will work: discussions.apple.com/thr…t=0
And in another thread: discussions.apple.com/thr…804?tstart=0
"16 gb will work. Plenty of other users in here have 16 gb of ram installed in their MacBook Pros. MacBook pros early 2011 and later support this much ram."

Crucial will sell you a kit of 2x8GB for it (they say "These upgrades are guaranteed compatible when you order from Crucial.com"):

is it only me or for everyone that price shows £57.71?

Yes it can. Iv'e got 16GB in the same model as you. Those quoting the official Apple Specs. Apple has done this for years. In realty most of their systems can take double the amount of RAM they quote.

Check out everymac.com for the real information

its back now to £27.99 i just bought a pair to install in my macbook pro thanks op

Keep in mind that this is 1.5 volt memory (DDR3) A lot of newer laptops are designed for 1.35 volt RAM (DDR3L) and therefore may not POST with this memory in place.

I have found that most run with both but totally accept this might well be the case with the newest systems. My Alienware steam machine I just bought works with both. Older Macs do too.
