In my experience, cheap USB flash drives are always slower than more expensive ones. However, speed may not matter for some.
I bet this is slower than stated and that's pretty slow.
I have this, it is slow. About 13MB/s for USB 3 Port and 9MB/s for USB 2. Doesn't get that hot though! Just got it to put in router, my previous samsung fit did heat up a lot and wasn't a great deal faster.
Data is valuable. USB sticks are literally the worst way to store valuable data.

True, but I use large ones like this to put a load of shows and movies onto, then watch them on the TV without having a large external drive plugged in.
