3600 at cl17 or 3000 at cl15?

Get two of these. I've had a few of these E die kits, current one running 3400 CL14 I believe, great for Ryzen and better than 3600 at CL17.

3600 cl17 much better, than 3000 cl15, aida64 , memory test tells you everything
If it's anything like the Patriot Viper Steel 3600Mhz it'll be 2133Mhz memory relying on the XMP profile 1 to boost it to 3600Mhz

Isn't that normal?
Yea all RAM runs at JEDEC spec to get the advertised speeds you need to enable XMP profiles

Not sure if it's normal to be boosted nearly 1500Mhz away from its default setting but my windows 10 install didn't like it until I ran at default. Then once in Windows changed it back to XMP 1

As far as I'm aware all DDR4 operates at the base JEDEC standard of 2133 Mhz.
Then it's up to the manufacturer to factory overclock it as they see fit via XMP profiles.

When operating at overclock speeds your milage may vary depending on platform and the components used.
ie, my X99 5820K combo won't even allow a mild memory overclock from 2666 to 2800 while others are achieving 3200 with the same kits.

Worth paying 81 for the DDR 4000 kit?

depends on timings, but i don't think so

The timing is 19-19-19-39@4000mhz. Is it good for Ryzen? Thanks!
in my opinion, 3600 mhz good enough for ryzen, ofc if your mobo can handle it
Sorry noob on all this - buying as a present for someone!
Was sent the link above
(Is it due to different motherboards??)
