Danke dasBot, very cool!
Currently showing at £68.70 for the 3600mhz set and 84.71 for the 4000mhz seems they've dropped again in the last hour or so
Ignore me, forgot the delivery charge.

Just bought the steel series 3600mhz should I return for this?
I keep getting tempted to replace my 2400mhz with faster ram, however the logical side of says no, the emotional side and the 3dmark side of me says yes!

Depending on your set up it's actually not a bad move. If you're on a Ryzen platform with a 144Hz monitor (and a good GPU) That could be the difference between a good few frames to be fair.

RGB even utilises CPU naturally when the system is idle. Have no idea who would want RGB when there is a performance drop.

Skylake i7 with a 2080 super, keep finding conflicting info on ram speeds with it, with a 144hz gsync monitor, once you buy a gsync one you feel you have to keep buying nvidia :/

If it was ryzen I definatly would of! But its hard to find solid info for older cpu's!
Thought these were Hynix?
Perfect!

Great time to move along from my Micron B ram to this Samsung as overclocking the Micron was problematic causing BSOD and all sorts of issues. Although I've heard good things about the Micron E die ram modules, this B die from Samsung has been also recognised a lot for its potential if that is what it ships with.

I will confirm the die once it arrives.

Also lads and gals, you can get an £10 Amazon voucher when you spend £50 on ebuyer - vouchercodes.co.uk/ebuyer.com

Samsung? Are you sure? I could have sworn it was shown as Hynix under the Asus motherboard compatability list I was looking at and reviews?

I'm talking about the 4000mhz module as I saw someone posted their thaiphoon burner screenshot above which was not the 3600mhz.

I don't really know about the 3600mhz as it was OOS when I tried to purchase it.

Probably that's the difference between the two?

EDIT:

The 'DDR4-4000 Patriot Viper Blackout 4 PVB416G400C9K' has Samsung B die - the one being sold on eBuyer atm.

The 3600mhz does not as it is a bit cheaper but is more suited for manual overclocking according this website when translated - so that's where your Hynix die info is probably coming from.

Funny thing is I have Corsair Vengeance LED 3000MHz CL15 two 16GB kit and one is B-Die other one Hynix. Although it is Samsung B-Die it doesn't run as good as G.Skill Samsung B-Die, for examle can't run it at 3200MHz CL14, but the 4000MHz should be solid buy I think
Does anyone know what they are? Are they windscreen wiper blades?

Very caple memory of running at the XMP profile of 4000mhz, cheers OP

No more BSOD's when overclocking unlike my past Micron ram.

I believe this can be OC'ed upto 4400mhz or maybe higher as Patriot also sell the Patriot Viper Steel DDR4-4400MHz with the Samsung K4A8G085WB-BCPB memory ics. For reference, that model runs 4400mhz at 19-19-19-39-2T at 1.45v, I will try this later on but even 4000mhz is plentiful.

The stock configuration of this Samsung IC is for it to be run at 2133mhz, so it is one of their cheaper IC's but surprised Patriot could get it to run at 4000mhz - but it is Samsung ram afterall. I could never get my previous Crucial B die 2400mhz to run past 3200mhz and even then over time it would randomly bsod - not once since installing this.

Amazon cashback to be paid on 25/10/2019 as usual with VoucherCodes Unlike TCB who are utter scammers - still owe me 10 quid from two years ago and still wont pay back. Since using VoucherCodes with my Uni address, gotten so many amazon vouchers.
