The reviews aren't all sweetness and light. One person saying the only way to acheive 3200MHz is to overclock them! Not sure if that's truly the case, but would seem misleading being advertised at 3200MHz if not achieve that speed.

Sounds more like a motherboard limitation than a problem with the RAM.

not true, i bought this for £60 week ago. default is 3200mhz. i then overclocked it to 3533mhz at 16.19.19.38
Why do people even overclock it? You will never ever notice anything... 3200mhz will do everything you need until you need a new PC.

Always good to hear from someone who’s used it themselves

I have this RAM and when paired with Ryzen 2600 and MSI X370 Gaming Plus motherboard I wasn’t able to reach 3200mhz. However, I then upgraded to 3700X (and kept the same motherboard) and it started working at 3200mhz fine.

You do have to go into bios to get your advertised speeds usually
I bought this, will let folk know if it works well with my Asus B350 Prime plus mobo and R5 1600 @3.9Ghz
I've ordered these
Scorchio! Really good ram
I paid almost double this time last year.

Sigh... Someone’s obviously never heard of Ryzen Infinity Fabric have they, depending on your own personal usage the speed and latency of the ram can have a fairly large impact, 5-10% in most cases which is pretty noticeable. Please see:

Not saying it's true for all RAM modules or all CPUs but it can have a difference, also you don't necessarily have to 'overclock' to get a performance boost, if you can tighten the timings, lower the CAS or the command rate you can give your system a free little boost that takes minutes and you don't even have to touch the voltage or clock speeds

Out of interest did you already have your 1600 and some RAM to go with it? I'd have thought you'd see WAY bigger gains by swapping out the 1600 for a 2600 or even better a 3600 (your MoBos Gen 3 compatible iirc) than upgrading the RAM?

I built my PC back in December 2017 when RAM was extortion. I managed to get 2x4GB 2800Mhz for £50 which was cheap then compared to some of the prices going around. So mines more of an upgrade for more memory in general.
