This is worth it if you're trying to build a new system, it's should be closer to 200 than it is to 100 so buy it now

When do they take the money

amazon take money on dispatch
How much does it normally sell for
Stupid question but will this work with ryzen chip and motherboard?

Check your motherboard's QVL to be certain, but yes, generally most memory compatibility issues on Ryzen have been solved.
Haven't bought a motherboard yet , where would I find qvl lists for them
I don't even have a machine that can take this, but I've taken a punt as hoping to build a machine at some point in the next few months. RAM prices have been pretty cray recently. If they suddenly drop I can probably just return this to Amazon if it ever ships...

According to one reviewer Ram works with ryzen 1700 chip...hope this helps ...you probably know the return policy of the Amazon anyway

Manufacturer's website.

Though be warned, none are exhaustive.
The best you usually get is a similar model number of the same brand.

Though even if the list does contain an exact match on model number, they often don't record the revision number of what they tested.
As manufacturers will occasionally, between revisions of the same model number, change the memory chips used, there's no guarantee they'll work.

However even my troublesome Hynix based Corsair dimms are now working at full speed* (3200) on my cheap MSI mobo. (they originally weren't stable above 2933)

I'm confident you'll be fine with these.

*(Technically, they're not quite there; only managing tRC:60 rather than the tRC:54 that XMP advertises..... but close enough for me not to care)

Can't see the exact model number of this ram on either the MSI or gigabtye web sites for the boards I was looking at with a ryzen 1500

my pleasure... excellent deal if they honour it and re-stock. unfortunately these won't fit under my Noctua d15!

They've got a lot of very similar ones though; I'd not worry.

How much does it normally sell for

about £170 +/- £10

Ordered but dont even have the other parts yet. it still about £50 more expensive that mid 2016, but i doubt it will get lower than this in 2018
Here you go, it's on Patriot's Ryzen compatible list:

Around £170-£180... 2400 memory can be had for closer to £150.
Its a no-brainer given the current pricing. Just put an order in myself. Even if the worst comes to the worst and it never comes in stock, you'll probably get an Amazon voucher out of it.

Thanks for that, just to confirm does that mean it should be supported on a MSI B350 Tomahawk board, this exact model is not listed on the MSI website but there is a similar 3200mhz version, I guess they can't test every single variant all the time ?
Ordered fingers crossed not a mis-price

You're probably best asking on MSI's forums if you want a definite answer, but if I were you I'd go for it.
Getting memory that used Hynix chips stable at 3000+MHz was the real compatibility issue that Ryzen had early on, but that's now been largely solved. (for MSI's boards at least)

Even in the unlikely event you can only get these dimms upto 2800MHz, the price is still crazy good - and the performance loss negligible.

Nice one, I've ordered...but doubt they will arrive
Had 8gb version on backorder for a month just to get an email that they won't come back in stock and therefore my order is cancelled. Managed to get ADATA 16gb 2400MHz for £90 on backorder which have arrived indeed this week.
Edited by: "iEimis" 26th Mar
Never dealt with backorder, if Im paying with Revolut, can I just place the order without topping up the account, and top it up "if" amazon decides to send the RAM or will they autocancel the order if they can't charge the card the first time?
Worth a punt, cheers OP.
I have purchased a Dell Inspiron 5378 would these fit as it has 2 ram slots and can take up to 16gb. As this seems a great price. Thanks.

This RAM is not for laptops. You need a SODIMM (different shape to fit in your laptop). Go on crucial.com and use the compatibility checker to see what you need specifically.
I have ordered a set, based on current prices it is a why not.

Thank you. Will do some digging. Appreciate the help.
Too good to miss at this price , wonder if they;ll fit under an Noctua NHl9x65 ???

Was going to post about 16gb on overclockersuk @$149 but this is better

review of dis memory

Amazing price for this. I just ordered one, checked back thinking of getting another for 32GB and it looks like it's gone now as it's showing £380(!) from some third party seller.

Oh well 16GB will do, especially since I don't even have anything to put it in. Was hoping to do a build later in the year so guess it will come in handy if they ever ship it...
Ordered this morning thanks. Expired now though.
