Well, my local shop have this machine.
Hermes is the worst parcel company!
I've never had a problem with Hermes but I can't see my local parcel shop doing this. They speak very little English and I have to scan and register my parcels myself lol

You can see which shops have the machine on their website, quite surprising how many there are.
I use this all the time- great for lots of eBay selling. I’ve found that it helps sales as the postage is less really easy to use x
As seen in my local petrol station.
I've got 4 shops near me but none have this machine. Just drop off
Is it £4 plus the 80p for signature and £20 compensation inc?

completely agree!

Third time this week, my Hermes parcels just roughly throw to the bin outside (smelly and getting wet) with the lid wide opened. It could be easily view openly to the public and facing the our busy main road. I could get my parcels as I sensed someone outside and got the parcels within a short time. They don't bother to ring my door bell at all ! My area is roughly area so I would count myself lucky (touch wood).

Also compare to those with post office, parcel with Hermes take a long time to arrive and always smashed and crushed.

Now I would ask companies first before order if they use Hermes or not. If that so, I would not consider to order with them after all these lessons.

I had my parcel left in the garden, behind the bin. In the rain...

sorry to hear that, yes they are horrible, if there are track link it showed they left in a secure place, what a joke! ( PS in my case, they don't even bother to ring the bell?!)

Lately I got one from other street in my local town, so I waited one day then just took effort (unfortunately very bad weather, soaking wet through) and delivered myself to the rightful recipient. Never heard back from Hermes since.

Sounds like a cold sore company
Just check the machine isn’t made by Tezcorp before you put your parcel in it.

No Yodel is worse, it's close however.
Have a look at some of the stories about myHermes on Trustpilot before giving them anything to deliver.
Over the last 12 months every single delivery by them to our address has been lost/damaged/seriously delayed.
I now contact retailers before buying anything to check that they don't use Hermes.
I refuse to use this company I’d rather pay the extra with post office at least I will know it will get there.
All delivery companies have problems sometimes...
Hermes are not perfect but ok for the price, no worse and possibly better than Royal Mail have been in my experience.
I have used Hermes many times and have never had a problem (I know this is asking for trouble).
Have a heavy parcel to send and I will try this.
Just a warning: my nearest shop is marked on the website and has this machine, but I just walked 20 minutes with a parcel to find "Hermes never plugged it in" and my parcel couldn't be sent.
The machine in my local is turned off with an "Out Of Order" sign on it.

Same here. I've had a couple of problems with sending through Hermes - they can't seem to work out how to get into blocks of flats - but I've had far worse with the Royal Mail whose 'signed for' service is a joke. They either put it through the letter box anyway or it constantly says 'going through the system' when you try and track it but they don't bother to update it on the system.

Collectplus didn't hand my parcel to the collecting courier for over a week and then it was rejected at the receiving end as 'no-one of that name works in this shop'.

At least with Hermes you get a free tracking number so you are covered if anything does happen and all of the Hermes couriers in my area are lovely. They go out of their way to help me, one of them even gave me a lift home when I was struggling with my shopping
This annoys me I use myhermes daily and pay and print my own labels. Now it’s cheaper to use their machines in store to print the labels? It makes no sense!
