This is a bargain. OK its dated and a bulk standard phone but I have had one over 3 years and it is still going strong. Great for those who just want a phone to be a phone.

I agee with you there but pity it's virgin and not o2. Good deal all the same.

I need a virgin phone until my next contract renewal, result.

it's easy/free to unlock it,so hot from me

how do you unlock it for free? i might use it for orange wednesdays

a6unx

Cex exchanges it for … Cex exchanges it for £12http://uk.webuy.com/phones/product.php?mastersku=SSAMC300

Is it worth doing it for £3? Really? You'd have to be pretty desperate. Plus it goes against the spirit of why we post deals in the first place.

Need a clip to unlock i think

These have been out for years and years! Mind you mine was still going strong when I finally upgraded to a smartphone a few months ago. This phone now belong to my 4 yr old, as a toy.

Top drawer, just ordered one. My contract runs out in a few months and broke my phone so this will fill the gap, cheers mate

Try this to unlock:
By doing the reset (1st temp) you will lose all your data ie contacts, messages, photos, viteos etc etc so back them up on your pc first.

1st temp. put this number in the keypad
*2767*3855# let it reboot(restart)
now its ready for permanent.

Don't worry if your screen shows - - - - - - - when typing it is supposed to do this.

Permanent.

*7465625*638*00000000*0000000
0#

NEXT ENTER

#7465625*638*00000000#

AND THEN *#7465625# to check the locks....all locks are inactive...these are all the locks...
network lock - inactive
subset lock - inactive
sp lock - inactive
cp lock - inactive
sim lock - inactive
activa lock - inactive
phone lock - inactive
auto network - inactive
auto subset lock - inactive
auto sp lock - inactive
auto cp lock - inactive
auto sim lock - inactive

Do this at your own risk,If it goes wrong you might brick the phone.

BTW the phone is unbranded with no Virgin logo or start up screen(It was unbranded when I bought it last month)

guys don't buy it the battery backup is sucks and the method above mention for unlocking it does not work.you need a cable to unlock and software.

These no free codes for this Samsung its has new security and yes i know its a old phone

Only £9 on cex for phone locked to virgin . Heat added as good price for a good basic phone.

NOTE: Please Backup all of your phone data such as contact numbers before unlocking your Samsung handset.

Put in the non-accepted Simcard you wish to use and and turn it on.
Type this code *#9998*3323#

In some newer models you may have to use this code instead #*7337#

Press Exit. You will get a new menu.
Select Malloc Fail.

The phone will reboot and ask for your PIN if you have one setup already.
Your phone will now be unlocked and will operate with your new sim card.

PLEASE READ: As explained in our terms this is a temporary unlock so you will have to follow this procedure each time you turn the phone on and off.
