I can't see many people going over 10gb. Or I'm being naive?

Yes you are!

I wouldn't bother with three personally unlimited data counts for nowt if the speeds are useless/unusable
Worst for speed 3g or 4g.. in London. Stay away... as soon as the contract is over i am moving from three.
Terrible network with even worse data speeds. Been on and off with 3 Network for past 4 years, was brilliant when first got it, but been hopeless ever since.
I am sick of three I have been using them for 10 years and there mobile service has dropped so much in quality its not even funny. in Northumberland its a joke I get full signal but the speeds are just dial up I mean 1mbps and the best speeds are normally 3 mbps,I have complained so much in the past two years and they keep saying there working on it or that area has maintenance.

the joke is in the past two years its gotten worse not better and this is all before the outbreak.

I will be looking at other providers when this is all sorted. three are just the worst in this area

I'm being naive. But blame the Corona because I've been of work. I do have WiFi at home but still use my three 4g even at home. Its quicker

Yes. I lived in some flats and signal was terrible. Don't know why? Went outside and was fine. Moved now and live near fields. Get 30mb+ all the time and good signal.
There was a network failure and my service never returned. After 3 months I still had no service whatsoever.

Callers were told my number was unavailable. I could not call, text or use any data except occasionally connect to their website.

Customer Services are a joke. Wanted to call, text or email me - I could not be contacted by any of those because I had ZERO SERVICE. You'd think they'd work it out after multiple complaints, if not after trying to ring my number!

Surely can't be out for 3 months
Is it a 6 month contract or can you cancel any month before then?

To continue to receive the Offer Price after initial qualifying month, set …To continue to receive the Offer Price after initial qualifying month, set your New Pay As You Go account to auto-renew with an Unlimited Data Pack each month via Three UK App or online at new.three.co.uk/account by 31 May 2020. Offer Price applies for a maximum six continuous months (including initial month) on Unlimited Data Pack. You can stop auto-renewal at any time. The price for the Unlimited Data Pack will revert to prevailing standard price (and no further purchases will be eligible for the Offer Price) from month 7 or, if sooner, in the event you cease to auto-renew Unlimited Data Packs. Going by this, I'm not going to top up when I want it to end therefore it can't auto-renew.

Thank you

My sister has this deal and she is constantly saying her signal drops out and is almost unusable. I still think it's a good price for what it is, but she's gutted that she left Virgin for 3.
I’m on smarty which is the same three network with decent signal.

It is slow at time during the day, sometimes it’s less than 5mb but other times it can be upto 30mb. I could probably get faster speeds if I upgraded to a better modem but I still manage to download over 1tb a month and it’s not downloading 24/7.
No signal in the house for sadly. I wouldn't care if they offered WiFi calling on PAYG... Sadly not.

I think it depends on location. If I do a speed test at home I get really bad speeds (around 7mb), but if I go five minutes down the road to my daughters house I can get 65mb (which is faster than my fibre ethernet connection. If I could get these kinds of speeds in my house I wouldn't bother with a fibre connection and would go 4g unlimited data.

Virgin was EE soon to be or now Vodafone
I'm currently on 3, signal up and down around manchester. Wouldn't recommend and wont be using again.

As far as i know the change will be towards the End of 2021
I already have there new pay as you go SIM and paid £30 for unlimited, it's due to renew tomorrow and it's now £20, so happy days. Speed is really good and you can set up auto renew in the app. Going to order my wife one because her contract ends next month.

Speeds in Doncaster on three are terrible. I'm glad my unlimited data deal runs it in 2 months
I use three and get 100Mbps speeds regularly and use over 1tb a month. Happy customer. Just depends where you live, obviously I have a strong signal at home so switched to 4g broadband.
Three use to be good. However, the last year or so the reception has been terrible.

Wtf! 100mb. And here's me happy with 26mb +

How it's possible to get 100mb?

I’ve used Three unlimited data sims for years. My home broadband speed is around 8 mbps, with the Three sim in a 4g router and 2 large aerials pointing at a mast, I can get around 50mbps on average.

Vodafone is even better, averaging 70mbps with the same setup.

I have just checked and this month I have used 800Gb of data, roughly equal from each provider. So some people do use more than 10Gb per month.
My speed increased massively when I went to my three and put my postcode and mobile type in their coverage checker. Not sure if they choke the speed or this changes settings but might help if you're on three. Tested using London server

I can't see that doing anything. Why would it? Unless you was speaking to them on live chat and they manually did something with your ISP

Not really sure myself but it doubled the speed on speed test.net. and said you're all set up for best 4g coverage. I had 4g coverage anyway and ran four tests before going to their website my three account.

Atleast 8-10mbps with low ping latency... not 1-2mbps which people get from three

Just location dependant. Mine is a 4g router in a cupboard with just an internal aerial. But the transmitter is close enough that I get great speeds. You can look up where the masts are and who has transmitters in them. I checked and three are in the mast near me so I went with them. I’m also in the country so I don’t suffer from sharing with with 1000s of others. FYI my wired broadband speed was only 13Mbps so three 4G is way better
I’m on Three and it is absolutely c*ap. I have my PAC code ready to switch networks. Without home broadband (WiFi calling) this network is horrendous.
3 speeds and connections depends on where you are. We don't get Vodafone in our house, but all the others work perfectly. I do about 25gb on 3 every month unlimited everything for £13pm. But the best bit is it works on holiday. We go to USA or Australia every February for 3-4 weeks and calls and data never costs more. It was California this year. Fingers crossed for next year. Stay safe.

That's from your router? Or just standalone mobile phone sim?
