I thought his was expensive for a day ticket but when I went to book found that currently you get to use your ticket for a whole year. We went today and received the extended ticket on e we had shown our day eticket. Loads to do we couldn't get round in a day, take your own food though!

How is it a good family deal compared to say a yearly membership with the English Heritage or National Trust? (edited)

How many times a year do people go to the same castle?

Exactly! The cost is outrageous for anyone visiting just once -- £99 for 2 adults with 2 children!

Its always been like that for years. It's nothing new. You just buy yearly ticket no other options. Leeds castle is in Maidstone

Wait, there’s a castle in Leeds?

Why is it so expensive? Do you get to take home a suit of armor when you leave for that price!?

Been like this for years, not really worth the entrance fee as a one-off cost, unless there’s a particular event you were wanting to attend. Ideal though for people who live nearby as great place for kids to let off steam and and most events are covered by the entrance fee. As the original post mentions, worth taking your own food as, aside from the cost, the queues at the food kiosks can be horrendous.

Yep, this 'deal' is always on (pay once, go for the whole year). Same with the The Historic Dockyard in Chatham (near Dockside) on the River Medway.

Pretty expensive if you plan on going just once! (edited)
