I've posted a couple of these deals before using this method.

Topcashback are currently paying a sim activation bonus of £45 on giffgaff handsets (none refurbished)

All you need to do is go through this link topcashback.co.uk/gif…ts/

And Purchase the Nokia 3, or any other phone.

Then when your phone comes in the post, activate the sim online at giffgaff to receive your £45 cashback
(it takes up to 30 days to show the full amount)

If you are a current customer, giffgaff send you a sim card aswell, all you need to do is activate that on your giffgaff account to swap your number over it takes 5 mins to process, and bobs your uncle or aunty you have activated your bonus too.

I did this with the Nokia 3310 at £29, so already £16 up. No credit checks etc.

Live chat seem to think it is fine.
How do you avoid their goodybag sh*t...

The original deal is hot. But I would imagine the agent you spoke to on live chat was mistaken. The terms clearly state telecoms are excluded. I personally wouldn't risk it. There's a nice deal to be had on the G5... If only I could order without a goodbag...is that even possible?
No

Not if you want £45

No Not if you want £45

Thanks for clarifying. Might wanna add the mandatory credit purchase to the original post/title as it makes the price at least £10 more.

Have you raised a claim with Topcashback, as it does state that if it hasn't shown the full amount after 30 days, then you should submit a claim.

Claim raised 2 months ago and still waiting for the retailer response..

I generally find TCB good but this one has dragged on. The SIM was activated (made and received calls, used internet in the first month) but I am hoping that they wont decline on the basis it isn't being used now

Have you any idea how I enter info. When I try and make a claim it will only let me select Giffgaff handsets from the selected retailers visited, but not date of purchase or value. Thanks in advance.

How long has it been?

It usually gives you the date in the drop down box when you go to submit a claim.

Go to My account, customer care, lodge a claim then I understand, continue..... Then you should get this as a list of previous purchases like mine....

And just choose the date you purchased and continue from there.

Hmm... Sorry about that. If I was there, I'd try it for you myself
This looks a very good deal thanks.

How does the Goodybag work? It seems they take a monthly payment from your original payment card unless you tell them. I want to use it to get the £45 cashback but will see how I go with the usage so would prefer to cancel further goodybags. Will they accept the cancelation straight away?

You have to buy a goodybag with your first purchase, then set up an giffgaff account, cancel your recurring charge, no more goodybag

Thanks. Will have to keep trying sporadically.

Does this only work with a goodybag that expires after a month or can you just use it payg which can last as long as you like within their t&c's? If you do have to use a goodybag do you just have to let it run out and not renew it and if you do then do you still get the cashback? In other words will just the first month qualify?

I bought the phone, and just activated the goodybag, and gave it away, then cancelled the recurring charge.
Hi All.

I hope someone who has done this successfully before and got the cashback can help.

I inserted the new SIM into the new phone

I went online and activated my SIM.

I had an email to say I had bought a goodybag that would start in 1st June - but I didnt ask for this:

Starts: 01/06/2018
Ends: 01/07/2018

Payment total: £10.00
Payment method: Card
Payment date: 01/06/2018

I wanted to ensure that I was not charged anything further and so would be grateful if someone could please confirm that the following settings under 'my payments' mean that they will take no further charge from my account:

Auto top-up OFF
Recurring goodybag OFF

Also, currently topcashback is only tracking at £5.00, do I need to raise a tciket or will that chnage over the coming days to £45.

Thanks in advance.

The cashback will change, but if it doesn't then u raise a ticket, and yes the info you've provided means you won't get charged again.

Nope. You'll now have to top up manually if you want to continue.
I had to raise a claim for my cashback, but I had been waiting since the 1/3. However, they can't approach Giffgaff for it until the 6th (which is a Sunday I think, so maybe next week some time?). I'll update with the outcome

Thanks - so how long do you think I should wait before raising a claim?
