PAYDAY 2 comes to New Generation consoles with an action-packed, four-player co-op shooter that once again lets gamers don the masks of the original PAYDAY crew - Dallas, Hoxton, Wolf and Chains - as they descend on Washington D.C. for an epic crime spree!

Up to four friends can co-operate on the hits and as the crew progresses the jobs become bigger, better and more rewarding, along with earning more money and becoming a legendary criminal

Crime does pay - use your funds to customize your character with new skillsets that change the way you play and kit them out with their own guns and gear.

The new CRIMENET network offers a huge range of dynamic contracts. Players are free to choose anything from small-time convenience store hits to major league cyber-crime or emptying out major bank vaults for that epic PAYDAY.

Oh dear, this will be the third time I've bought payday 2.

Personally want to jump, but my friends are still a bit bitter about the 360 version and although I can put it behind me (the time I've invested in the PC version in the last month alone is ridiculous) it really is a co-op game Great price though X)

I wouldn't touch this with a bargepole. Overkill do not support consoles and do not expect bugfixes or updates. They are also the official kings of micro transactions. The amount this company has milked from PC users for dlc after dlc is astounding. Avoid this until these developers support their product on console.

I have the PC version which I picked up for about £5 and it feels like I'm still playing the trial version of the game with most of the things locked behind a pay to unlock window. It really is fustrating when you hand over the money and the developers give you a vanilla game with most fun stuff locked under "DLC".

I have not bought any of their DLCs and I don't intend to support them. They don't deserve my money because they are too greedy.

If you'd been there from the beginning you'd realise how much they've added... for free. Yes there is a lot of paid DLC although unless you want to host the maps are pointless (As you can join the maps) and the guns although powerful in some specific areas - the base game guns are still the best all rounders. I think they're on update 52 now, with a good chuck of them being new heists, characters and weapons for free. Believe me when I say this game is nothing like it was 2 years ago when it launched and ever though I'd be skeptical to buy the xbox version after the last gens shocking support, this is still a good price for a good coop game.

Also, steam sales are you friend Some DLC can be had for a bar of chocolate in the sales that seem to happen every 2 weeks or so for it

I think that a one time purchase should be enough to play the game. I should not have to keep buying DLCs to unlock more achievements that can only be gotten through unlocked DLC weapons.

I checked the DLC page the other day and there are about 24.

That alone shows that they churn out a DLC on average every month.

The overall cost of the game /dlc is perfectly in line with most games though no?

And at least it's supported unlike some games which are dropped like a stone after release?

but everything after shadow raid has been naff. It's like they're churning any old dlc rather than a few but very good pieces of content. In that case they should just do a tf2 and go f2p.
