Instore deal at Tesco (with phone shop) and suspect that this will be stores that have stock left as i believe the product is a discontinued line - may have to hunt around in local branches (posting because this may help someone). There were two left in New Oscott Birmingham Branch at time of posting.

Can be unlocked free via huaweicodecalculator.com/new…go/ and either using your Google Account or creating a new one.

Just to add that this comes with a 2GB data sim (valid for 30 days once activated)

Paid this for it a year or so ago, well worth it, works really well.

Yep, superb for the cash. I paid £20 for mine and was pleased with the price. I had the Buzzard 2 but struggled to unlock plus it doesn't automatically switch on with car ignition like this one does.

Why?!
These seem like one of the biggest wastes of money out there, struggling to think of even a single benefit one of these brings! Please, inform me. I've even tried Googling it and everyone just asks the same question and wonders why anyone would pay for one of these.

Honestly? This is so that you can have internet for devices that need WiFi during car journeys. The most obvious case would be to allow children to watch iPlayer or stream music on long drives. Maybe you have an iPad/android tablet you want to use to stream a Spotify playlist whilst driving. Maybe you have a passenger who wants to check traffic or calculate routes whilst you are driving. There are practically countless cases in which having WiFi available for non-cellular devices on car journeys would be useful.

its useful, for those with multiple passengers in the car to share a 4g powered data sim. with EE offering 50% discounts on a 25GB data sim, the entire family can enjoy wifi in the car, and if you have an osprey device, you can enjoy the wonderful world of Internet even during holidays away from home
Power it up in your dorm if you are a student if your wifi fails or plug it into a 3G router for your business if you loose service from your ISP. Great little backup for such moments!
Handy for any time you want to run a router as well, say for chromecasting in a hotel room from your phone to the tv. Connect your chromecast and phone to the same connection this creates.

That was my thought as chromecast in hotel is very useful thing to have on long business trips!

As for using it in the car... I always wondered why people don't just tether their phone but guess that depends on your data plan...
Has anyone tested the unlock link in this post ? Or could point me in the right direction to getting mine unlocked
I thought the yellow thing in the picture was a pint of lager! oO

so a good deal
Just for anyone wondering about the unlock code for free via huaweicodecalculator.com/new…go/. I can confirm that this works (hence why i posted it) as i have unlocked mine using this method and have a Vodafone data sim in.
None in stock when this deal was first posted 5 months ago when it £20. Good luck if you can find one as Mifis are always useful for trips away & holidays.
anyone got the barcode for this??
Would really like one of these, but bandwidth is so expensive considering an hour of video streaming is about 2GB.

You need to look out for EE 2 months 4G x 100GB (yes gigabytes) for £10 data sim offers when ( or if ) they come around again.
