PayPal here contactless card reader only £25

Paypal currently have £30 off their chip and pin card reader, down from £75 to £45

But if you use code OFFER020 it will knock a further £20 off making it just £25.

Great way to take card payments including contactless for small sole traders, trades people, carboot sellers, trade fairs etc

I've just bought it as a backup for the existing PayPal card reader we use.

It's perfect for people not doing a lot of card transactions or for businesses who have a seasonal business where monthly rental charges on normal card machines aren't worth it.

Or you could try some other pay points like Sum Up. It's only 1.95 % commission instead of 2.75 plus... And you can accept American express also. As well as visa Master card contactless Android pay and Apple pay. All through Bluetooth no cables...

I wouldn't use this. There used to be a card skimming machines, but they required the operator to swipe twice, then the terminals were modified to capture the chip and pin - can't remember the technical details but if I remember correctly there were a number of Shell petrol station terminals that were compromised.

Then comes this machine, is it the case that anyone can get one of these? How can it be deemed secure? Or have I lost touch with the tech?

PayPal here card reader is only for businesses and you need an approved business account to use it. Never had a customer decline to pay with it and you can send text or email receipts to the customer via the app so looks and feels professional.

Yes definitely Sumups charges are cheaper but they both accept the same cards. We have both but tend to use PayPal more as it's a name more customers recognise and we get the payment straight away into our PayPal account whereas we have to wait a few days with SumUp but both work great.
Thank you I have been looking for inexpensive way of taking card payments. Will have a look how this compares, cheers.
What about iZettle? What You guys think ? Is it any good?
