eBay's business is essentially a platform to get buyers and sellers to meet. They make a commission on this, however the transaction is a legally binding agreement between buyer and seller. Think of eBay as a matchmaker. This service runs payments through Luxembourg, and I believe that is where they are a registered business, this is fine, and legal. This does not affect consumer rights on the purchases, as buyers do not buy from eBay, only sellers do. The transaction when buying an item found on ebay, if between a consumer and a UK registered business is still within the UK, and still protected by UK consumer law. The services eBay provides are financially run through Luxembourg, yes, but that is just the fees for selling, etc. Payments of the items are handled by Paypal in most cases, again a separate business, and sellers and buyers can agree other payment methods too, as the actual transaction is between the buyer and seller. The buyer is not buying from eBay, and the seller only buys listing services from eBay. So, yes, if buying from a UK seller, UK laws apply.

Too right, I don’t see how they were able to justify removing it.

Actually, if a Seller clearly states it’s a virtual item, the buyer has no protection at all. Any claim they raise, or negative feedback they leave, eBay will favour the seller as it’s a virtual item”

What date was this implemented? I tried selling codes on eBay and got absolutely rinsed by claims that stated unauthorised purchases, on codes that had obviously been used after purchase. This was back in December, anyone able to advise? eBay have blocked my selling account and PayPal forced refunds on every occasion

This is scammer protection not buyer.

It's always been 12 a year, but up to a £15 value. That's where you are probably getting the 15 from.

looks like they just reduced this from 15 to 12? do you have to activate yearly? I had it last year, 15, if i register to 12 will it change to 12? any way i can see if the 15 returns is still active?

Agreed, where does it say 12 returns on clothing, ON TOP of the 12 normal item returns??

Can't see a separate clothing one in my account

I don't post anything for heat buddy, I post for 2 reasons really - if its a deal/spot for me and I think others could benefit - both of them applied here as well and thats why I posted. Why I expired it is because it was clear people were not benefitting from it, or so I thought given the cold votes and snide comments :(

Still valid, funny how one can go so hot and this cold. Good old hukdeals. Why this expired you don’t want the cold votes. You posted in the assumption it was going to go hot. Not expired though

What can I say :)

This is simple, on purchases over £150 chose pay in 4 times and pay 0% interest, so to me this is free money. you can use there money pay in 4 times free. Regards

No I'm not, I'm responsible enough to know I can't afford to be a parent - neither can the people buying Xbox's on 0% finance packages either :) It's not simply a no brainer to buy something of minimal value and spread it across any period of time. All it simply boils down to is entitlement culture mixed with easy credit. Dangerous combination, as past recessions have taught us - or maybe not, in your case. Cheers mate. Have a good day yourself too!

Are you a parent? Have you ever had to use a credit card or some kind of credit? If not, stop making immature and irrelevant comments about adults being 'irresponsible'. I have chose to never get a credit card, same with loans etc but I know when you can pay for something over 4 months with 0% interest is a no long as the person sticks to 4 months and doesn't go ahead, there is no financial burden on anyone.. p.s I wont be responding from here onwards as I have shared my opinion. Have a nice day!

If he's been wanting an Xbox for a year, as a responsible parent you should've been saving circa £20 per month for said year and paid it off in one go. Not waited until last minute and bought it on credit. Irresponsible adult. Irresponsible parenting. What sort of example does that provide? Oh, yeah, a generation of people that have to have everything on finance. That can't be a bad thing at all, right? Right?! /s

yeah mate there's a good idea, its your kids birthday and he's been wanting an xbox or something for a year...better not get him it because you've got 4 months to pay back £200 instead of a one off £200 payment...makes no sense. Yes this is credit but with 0% as long as this person pays back without having to pay it every month. Credit score will increase too.

It can be a bit frustrating to back up the playlist, I take it spotify, deezer and the others knew about this and purposely did not allow this feature to exist otherwise 3rd party sites/apps would not have tried to do it. Only other way I have spotted it is via soundiiz paid $3 per month subscription or yearly payment of 27 quid Has the sync playlist feature. May have a look around in case there is another option.

That's a shame. Thankd for looking

Hmm I cant find anything related to google play music on there. There are loads of others with google home etc.

Do you know if it also works for Google play music?

You can setup an IFTT command to automatically backup to a cloud drive, when you add new songs to your playlists. Need to download IFTT app and connect your drive and spotify.

This is good for returns from any company that accepts a paypal payment at checkout,so if you choose paypal when paying request free return from paypal you can return items to those sellers when the items aren't even faulty, you have to pay for returns for most sellers for items that you don't like,I sent back a large v pillow and saved £12 on potage after paying via paypal at the complete care shop

Go to accont and click on the paypal purchase you want to return and then a box appears saying request return postage or something like that

Perhaps, but I’ve had sellers who refuse to. Then I am left wasting my time raising disputes.

I’ve used this twice now and it’s been easy to get the money back

You dont, faulty items are covered which means they have to send you a postage label.

Yea mine was with a Santander card. I didn't look hard just went on comparethemarket (needed the meerkat movies code as well). The thing is... This kind of treatment would be simply unacceptable from a normal bank. That's my point, be wary and understand pp are not a regular bank that treats its customers fairly...

Was 24 month 0% recently?

Voted cold. Got accepted to find the merchants I were using on high ticket items didn't take PP credit. Ended up just getting a credit card with 24 month interest free. (where mastercard is much better than Paypal!) Personally if I can avoid PayPal I will; but glad to hear it's worked well for others.

True, they don't consult. They do make biased decision and take money out of the bank account without even telling you. They claimed they returned my money, they haven't even after 40 days. Like you'll know how icy the water is once you are in water.

It's very rarely more than 25% on admin and that's mainly big charities raising tens or hundreds of millions. Obviously their costs will be higher because they are supporting more people and having a bigger impact. By all means support local causes or those that matter to you if that's your preference. Making up random figures isn't helpful to anyone though. Also, you're posting on a website designed to encourage people to buy more tat they don't really need. Hardly the place to be getting all moralistic about organisations that in the main, at least exist to help those less fortunate than us.
