People are here to get value for money, or find out about good deals, offers, perks and tricks that could save them money, or help them along a little bit. Credit can often do this. There are a lot of people who aren't very intelligent in this country, and they owe a lot of money. There are also a lot of people who are victims of circumstance, and live a debt ridden life, but then lose their job, then their car, then their home. I don't understand why you have a problem with people being warned about potential debt problems. You could just not comment, there is no need to be bothered on other people's behalf.

FREE £5 to spend in PayPal. Account Specific

FREE £5 to spend via PayPal in email. Seems account specific. To be spent before 30th Sep 2017 Check your mails.

Cold as account specific, would have voted hot if there was a sign up link as on occasion these offers can work without getting the email (had experience of this a lot with eBay) and if you decide to call to ask for it, it at least gives you something to point them to when they ask the inevitable "where did you see this offer"

Used it, thanks

I have got one 3 months back and used it successfully. There are many sites which are accepting PayPal and so its easy to get it reedeemed. I have used for my mobile topup.

I dont know if this is related to the deal or not, but i recently purchased a domain from GoDaddy through PayPal and they refunded the total cost of the purchase!

Maybe PayPal were feeling extra generous when viewing my account lol

Sounds a good idea until the thieves at paypal freeze your account and they dont even listen to you i had mine restricted even though i was selling official products . They will not even accept they are wrong at all .

If people want to just collect money from their friends then why not just get them to send you money via PayPal?

You only need their PayPal email address, enter amount and press send.

There are no fees for that service and the balance can instantly be transferred to your bank account.

We have a iZettle reader but use it as little as possible as our main products are high value made to order so prefer bank transfer to keep fees low, the reader is useful for low value sales for parts and repairs etc, but it's not a fully fledged card machine and comes with a few limitations, the Paypal reader caught us off guard, a customer offered to pay £1500 via card, we accepted, Paypal withheld the money until we provided company reg, vat, photo ID, etc etc, and then whammed us with an extortionate fee.

Why would it be cold? Simple. Due to members not being offered the account specific offer.

The catch is they never give you the refund. I've tried 3 times now, each time using fleabays pre-paid postage option so Paypal can see the receipt for the postage but no matter what you do they just ask for more info. You upload the postage invoice you have in Paypal, they can see the refund for the original item from the seller then they reject your claim. It's bloody hopeless.

I just got this offer in my inbox? So what's the catch? What's in it for them? Why would they want to pay my return postage? To get my personal data? Seems a bit dodgy

they messed about for nearly 3 weeks asking for all the info I gave them in the beginning but finally approved the refund!

same here, going round in circles with them telling me to do what I have already done, not worth the hassle for 2-99 postage!!! 6 identical emails now

Terrible service!!!! Telus ask u for duplicate info you've already uploaded! Unless u nag and nag you'll never get anything back
