Heads up for PC players that EA are running three Battlefield V free trial weekends with the first commencing tomorrow and running for three days.

Here's a list of the available dates...

Weekend 1: Rush (10th Oct - 13th)
The first weekend lets you try out Rush, the intense game mode where you never have a moment to waste. Attack or defend the objectives and always keep an ear out for artillery strikes when this mode is available for a limited time. Enjoy Rush on Operation Underground, Rotterdam, Narvik, Mercury, and other maps – and complete the Weekly Challenge to unlock the Captain Hadlow vehicle skin for the Stug IV.

Weekend 2: Infantry-Focused Conquest (17th Oct - 20th)
Engaging in the flag-capping rumbles of Conquest is the most classic way to experience Battlefield’s all-out war. You’ll be able to try the mode on the infantry-focused maps Operation Underground, Rotterdam, Devastation, Marita, and Arras. Complete tasks to earn a coveted weekly reward: the Trench Carbine.

Weekend 3: Grand Operations (Oct 24th - 27th)
Take on a high-flying experience with Airborne, kicking off the multi-mode Grand Operations. Spearhead an upcoming invasion on the maps Twisted Steel, Narvik, Hamada, Rotterdam, and Panzerstorm. This weekend comes with a very special challenge for all of the community. Complete it together and earn the anti-aircraft Fliegerfaust gadget.

When are the Battlefield V Free Weekend Trials active?
They will be live every weekend from October 10 up until October 27. Since everyone likes long weekends, we’ll kick them off on Thursdays. You can prepare for battle by pre-loading the Free Weekend Trials on October 9.

On what platforms are the Weekend Trials available?
Origin PC.

What do the Weekend Trials consist of?
It depends on when you play! As seen in the Events Calendar above, the weekends will each feature different multiplayer modes. Throughout the Trial weekends, though, an onboarding segment of the Squad Conquest mode and all of the War Stories, the untold and unplayed single-player stories inspired by real WW2 events, will be available.

Will I be available to earn progress during the trial?
Yes, trial players will unlock rewards as they play – and there’s some great gear to earn as Battlefest is active during the trial period. Progression will be saved and carried over if trial players should purchase the full version of Battlefield V.

What is Battlefest?
Battlefest is what we call our regular celebrations of the Battlefield community, where players can enjoy events, challenges, and rewards. Learn more about the latest fest in this article.

Recently went back and it's still as bad as it was on launch. The maps are not fun to play and they've removed the amazing front line from BF1 and replaced it with a pathetic version
Noooooiice! Thaaaaanks

If better than BF1 (which Im bored to play) I will definitely buy it

Even with all the flaws of BF1 like planes being OP, arty tanks, hackers, etc BF1 is better for me. BF5 has too many big problems

Don't take me wrong, I still like Bf1 but sometimes I can't find servers
enjoy BF5. maybe not my fav ever (love BF3, though hate the helis), but maps are quite nice, and looks gorgeous. they've also added Metro map last week, which is super fun.
I'm not entirely sure about all the hate BF5 gets - sure it isn't BF3/4 but it is definitely on par with BF1 if not better IMO.

Gun play is nice, maps are quite decent.

Sometimes I wonder if all the hate comes from those camping snipers still stuck in the same hills!

Most likely the attempt to rewrite WW2 to satisfy pathetic cuck SJW's & the awful response of Dice to the very legitimate backlash.

That and it's a terrible game to play.
Atrocious.
The pompous Swedish PC halfwit responsible for the ideas herein was apparently sacked due to screaming abuse (in the manner those creeps do) at fans who rightly questioned him about his revisionist attitude to history.
Got away with it in the first game, as it wasn't too bad - but the O.T.T. attitude they went on this one was ridiculous. And sales suffered

Once you load up a map and are running trough a devastated city, how does all that non-sense influence the gameplay? It doesn't, so who cares? This is a decent shooter. Yet people create all this fuss about irrelevant stuff. It's like they need constant drama in their life

People are sick of idiots trying to rewrite history and companies trying to screw over fans. Millions of Men died and then they try to force diversity into a war that didn't exist. Why should people ignore it? The CEO said it himself, if you don't want to buy the game, don't buy it. And people didn't

But on top of that, it's just a poor game.

My point is, once you start a game, all that is irrelevant. What does that matter? I'm not buying a history lesson, I'm buying a game. If you guys weren't always whinning about "the historical inaccuracies" i wouldn't even have noticed them. Are you finally getting it? And imo, it's far from a poor game

Yes, thats called FANTASY. And nothing wrong with an alternate version of history. Its fantastic - but when they're even claiming their invented history was how it really was, now thats another matter entirely.
Historical accuracy is irrelevant only to those who rewrite it to suit their own invented versions - and then push THAT as "fact"

Has the story ever cared in a bf multiplayer match? It's just context to frame the conflict and give it some flavour. It's not a novel or a movie
