Welcome to Vegas. New Vegas.

It’s the kind of town where you dig your own grave prior to being shot in the head and left for dead… and that’s before things really get ugly. It’s a town of dreamers and desperados being torn apart by warring factions vying for complete control of this desert oasis. It’s a place where the right kind of person with the right kind of weaponry can really make a name for themselves, and make more than an enemy or two along the way.

With the introduction of the Ultimate Edition, Bethesda Softworks offers you the chance to double-down and get the complete package of New Vegas fun. For the first time in one package, you can get all the Fallout: New Vegas content including the full suite of highly acclaimed add-on content: Dead Money, Honest Hearts, Old World Blues and Lonesome Road. To sweeten the pot, you’ll be armed with the latest cache of unique weapons, ammo types and recipes from the most recent add-on packs: Courier’s Stash and Gun Runners Arsenal.

Whether you’re a seasoned explorer of the Mojave or playing the game for the first time, you’ll find there are more friends and enemies to make, more consequences to your actions and more opportunities to live in glory or infamy throughout the Wasteland. The choices you make will be as crucial to your survival as ever.

• Beyond the Wasteland: The world of New Vegas is more expansive than ever. Each new distinct area presents a fresh set of branching-quests, remarkable personalities and more chances to play the Savior or the Pariah to the natives of New Vegas.
• Shiny New Toys: Each add-on pack increases the mountain of armaments already at your disposal. Whether you’re an in-your-face brawler or a long-range gunner, weapons such as the Two-Step Goodbye (unique ballistic fists) or Sleepytime (a handy 10mm Sub-Machinegun) will give that warmonger in you a chance to flex your ammo-filled muscles.
• Room to Grow: With each of the four main add-on packs, the maximum levelcap is increased by 5 levels, ultimately raising the ceiling to Level 50.
• Dead Money: Lured into a trap masquerading as the Sierra Madre Casino, you are thrown into a high stakes game where you’ll have to work with three other lost souls if you want to survive.
• Honest Hearts: An expedition into Utah’s Zion National Park goes horribly wrong and you become embroiled in a war between tribes and put into a conflict between a New Canaanite missionary and the mysterious Burning Man.
• Old World Blues: Transported to the Big MT research crater, you are enlisted by the Think Tank to save them from their own science experiments that have gone horribly out of control.
• Lonesome Road: Ulysses, the original Courier Six, contacts you and promises to answer why he refused to deliver the Platinum Chip at the start of Fallout: New Vegas, but only if you make one last journey into the treacherous canyons of the Divide.

Do not forget the RAM patch, it helps stop crashing, but not entirely

If Epic Games version fixes this. Ignore me

I really recommend those interested in playing this to get it on Steam. It's on sale regularly enough either on the store or through some 3rd party seller. The ability to mod this game is kind of crucial. And I dont just mean for like content additions or gameplay or quality of life improvements, but even just for the bug fixes - it makes a huge difference. This game is notoriously unstable, and even with the unofficial bug fix patch, you'll likely still face some crashes and whatnot, but it'll at least reduce this frustration by a fair bit most likely.

But of course, the ability to mod the game further is also a huge, huge selling point getting it on Steam as well. It has a pretty popular modding scene around it, so there's a lot of improvements you can make, even for a first time playthrough that retains the vanilla feel and experience well enough, just making it better.

Agreed. I installed a big mod pack recently and it feels like a modern game.

    Quick, get this asap.

In 30mins, Epic Games will change this to Fallout: Gt. Yarmouth Standard Edition.

To be fair, it is another war ravaged post apocalyptic hellhole.

Like we don't already own it haha

These slightly older games are good for things like the Steam Deck and ROG Ally, don't forget!

I’ve had this for years and years on steam. Is it still worth playing?
    Excession's avatar
Absolutely. I mean the graphics are dated but the gameplay is solid and the story is excellent. Don't skip the DLC because Dead Money is amazing (if short) and Lonesome Road is equal or better than the base game story telling. All the DLC is pretty good.

Look at the themes allowed in this, and the original Fallout 3. Now compared to the hideously diluted content of Fallout 4. Now imagine the narrative content of Starfield so many years after Fallout 4, given that certain 'prohibitions' are so much worse today. And wait until punters discover that Bethesda is not going to allow Starfield to be modded either.

All of Beth's success came from being spicy, edgy and player friendly. None of this remains today.

When you force out people who just want to create cool games by forcing them to insert agendas, all youre left with are devs whos only personality trait is virtue signalling. (edited)

Probably the best DLC of the entire franchise too, fantastic game. (edited)

I liked this game until my one and only save file was corrupted. Make sure to make multiple copies of saves when you play it.

Never really got into this game or the other fallouts. Might try it again

its not obvious at first glance how special this game is

there is so many amazing things hidden away. side missions that seem pointless that really have fantastic stories- and since this is made by competent people, actual choices have real consequences

witcher 1, 2 and 3 did this as well, but fallout has just got something special about its lore.

tldr: I'm probably underselling this genius series. Hbomberguy does a great job selling this game
