I've bought it and have it downloading on Steam now. I'm still in disbelief at how cheap this is, have I missed something here?

Should be 5% cashback with Quidco (thanks for reminding me brum, let me know if that works).

not steam - looks dodgey to me.

The code you buy is for steam. Just done it myself and its downloading now.

Have used coolshop before as well.

It is Steam. I'm downloading it now. And Coolshop is a legit site, as far as I can tell (3 positive reviews from people on this site).

wow, this is going to get red hot !!!!!

Has anyone tried buying more than one? I just paid for two, but I have only been given one serial key.

quidco for 5% cash back?

i will give it a try

Hot STUFF Unable to locate download link though

First time user - so don't know whether the download link is mailed to me, or I can download directly.

i dont have a serial key?

hmmm

how many emails do you recieve before you get the serial key?
Edited by: "brum" 19th Oct 2010

Just done this but cant find the key anywhere, just a pdf I can download with instructions on how I can add it to steam - what am i missing?

ok if you go to the cool website and check my downloads/ codes it is in there

sadly it isnt - I see Civ 5 listed, then the download link but no serial

That's strange, I got my serial key right after paying, and can see it again in the My Downloads page.

I got one serial key, but I ordered two, and the second one hasn't appeared.

go into your account on coolshops then downloads/ serial numbers and it is there

@xavk

Got the same problem.
Order status says: Shipping method - Royal Mail.
WTF?

anyone know where their Ts & Cs are. Want to check their policies before I go asking for my key. Cant seem to find them though.

I also have the problem of there being no serial code in the "my downloads" area on my account (purchased it about an hour ago).

Just a quick questions to those of you who got the code when you go on to your account does it say open next to the £2.35 (the bit at the top where it says about your previous order)

CLICK "your account"

This takes you to your account settings, it shows a few things including your purchase but DONT CLICK ON IT

look at the MY ACCOUNT section

then select MY DOWNLOADS

it is in there

DONT CLICK SHOW ORDERS

it is not obvious and took me a couple minutes to find it but it is there and the thing does work, i have it downloading now and it is just shy of 5 gig

Brum, my screenshot above is from My Downloads, not my orders.

Parker84 - my order is Open so perhaps that is the problem.

I confirm.
Order Open.
And under "download" link i have How_to_download_Sid_Meiers_Civilization_V.pdf

Its actually supposed to be £23.50, but obviously a website error. As its gone back up now.

I am having the same issue as xavk - just no serial in my downloads - and my order is also open

weird, the status on mine shows

Order History

19/10/2010 Open
19/10/2010 Digital Download Ready

Yes - an error and will never get it
oh well...

It was a misprice - doh. Back up to 23.50 now.
Missed it!:(

Mine says digital download ready too, but i dont have any key to activate it as of yet. The link you describe also shows me to a pdf file telling me how to install steam. But on the pdf it says the key will be sent in a reciept email.

oddly i was only charged £1.00 as well?

oh well , it is the first game i have bought for my pc since i had jedi knights ( the very first one in around 1998) as no matter how good my set up is, it never seems to like games.

Mine also says Digital Download Ready but as the price has gone up I think you just got in ahead of them catching the error. Well done - I'll wait for my cancellation email.

Yes - I think I was only charged £1 ,,, website obviously not quite right

i only get the pdf in the order section, in the my downloads section there was no pdf.

there was no code in any email either, i only found it using the method posted.

I have a PDF in the mydownloads section

im sorry for the people who missed out, i normally do but i actually wanted this game so i am lucky for once.

it is 45% downloaded now, so it should be fully done before i go to work.

As far as i can see there isnt any, so therefore legally wouldnt they be obliged to honor the order? As consumer rights state unless otherwise stated pricing shown is pricing charged.

@Brum - The Download link is a link for the PDF, and yes my order is open as well

I'm no lawyer so I cant say if they are obliged but so far my bank hasnt reported them taking any money which would probably muddy the case (but it wont stop me from arguing it with them, albeit with little hope of success)

Taken it out of my account though :P

I remember ticking a box saying that I agree with T&C when I purchased.

And those T&C will say something along the lines that paying for a product is offering a contract which they accept when they dispatch the product - or in other words email the code

Give up

i must have got it by seconds then it shows i ordered it at 06.56, if anyone ordered before then they should? have got it?
