Description

Enter the Gungeon is a bullet hell dungeon crawler following a band of misfits seeking to shoot, loot, dodge roll and table-flip their way to personal absolution by reaching the legendary Gungeon’s ultimate treasure: the gun that can kill the past. Select a hero (or team up in co-op) and battle your way to the bottom of the Gungeon by surviving a challenging and evolving series of floors filled with the dangerously adorable Gundead and fearsome Gungeon bosses armed to the teeth. Gather precious loot, discover hidden secrets, and chat with opportunistic merchants and shopkeepers to purchase powerful items to gain an edge.

The Gungeon: Enter the Gungeon – a constantly evolving bullet hell fortress that elegantly blends meticulously hand-designed rooms within a procedurally-generated labyrinth bent on destroying all that enter its walls. But beware – the Gungeon responds to even the most modest victory against its sentries and traps by raising the stakes and the challenges found within!

The Cult of the Gundead: The Gungeon isn’t just traps and chasms – calm your nerves and steady your aim as you face down the gun-totting Cult of the Gundead. These disciples of the gun will stop at nothing to put down the heroes in their tracks and employ any tactics necessary to defend their temple.

The Gungeoneers: Choose between one of several unlikely heroes, each burdened by a deep regret and in search of a way to change their past, no matter the cost. Filled with equal parts courage and desperation, these adventurers won’t hesitate to dive across flaming walls, roll through a wall of bullets, or take cover behind whatever is around to make it to their goal alive!

The Guns: Discover and unlock scores of uniquely fantastic guns to annihilate all that oppose you in the Gungeon – each carrying their own unique tactics and ammunition. Unleash everything from the tried and true medley of missiles, lasers, and cannonballs to the bizarrely effective volley of rainbows, fish, foam darts, and bees! Yep, bees.

Is it free to keep?

Yes, but you`ll need an Epic account and have to use their launcher I think. Kingdom New Lands is also currently free now too. New free game every couple of weeks or so I think ?
Gah, beaten to it !

For now free game every week as they run the Epic Sale - then they go back to one game every 2 weeks.
Really surprised Enter the Gungeon would go free, wasn't long since their Chrono.gg promo
But really good game if you like roguelikes and/or bullet hell games, give it a go
Nice, I’ll take that
So good. I have this on Switch and I've still never beaten it, wonder if I'll fare any better on mouse and keyboard!
Damn it, I only recently bought this on Steam >_<
Darn. I already bought this for switch. Oh well; I don't regret it. Thanks

People may have forgotten that there's some good stuff there to buy (e.g. Journey [out now], Hades etc.).

Reviews are great, even on Steam:

Enter the Gungeon Metacritic: 84% (26 critics, 7.6 from 164 users), Steam: Very Positive 91% (10840 reviews)

Thanks for the reviews link again mate Epic have an epic deal ongoing for sure right now, some really awesome titles.
is epic Chinese owned?
One of my favourite games ever. Spent more time on this than smash and breath of the wild combined on switch! Can’t recommend enough.
Love this game - hard as hell at the start but so satisfying once you get there
Starting to have a list of shame (games I own but haven't played) at the Epic Store even though I haven't paid for a single thing yet
Great game

Same, got quite a nice collection of unplayed games now!

No. Tencent is an invester

No, that's incorrect.

Tencent Holdings (Chinese conglomerate) is at least a 48.4% shareholder of Epic Games. They have the right to elect directors to the board but Tim Sweeney (if you believe him) says they have little sway with the creative output of Epic.
If I Enter My Gungeon now, I should have all my free games clocked by 2077!

The question was "is epic Chinese owned?"
A 48.4% stake doesn't mean it's owned by Tencent

Now if someone asked about Riot Games or Grinding Gear Games
