I paid £50 (going rate) for this 6 months ago when it replaced my Razer Deathadder that died a death.

Absolute steal for a gaming mouse of this quality.

Actually it's changed several times. It was £35.99 a couple of days ago, this morning it was £50.99 (because I was considering buying 10 to resell) and then by mid day it was £34.99.

You've linked to a lightning deal which already ended. Thanks to the op for posting as I missed the original deal and ordered one for £46, just spoke to Amazon and got the difference refunded - cheers badbiddy!
Finally purchased with the free mouse mat. Cheers
I got this in the £32 Black Friday deal a few weeks ago, It's a very nice mouse overall (taking over from a Deathadder) but I would urge people to try before you buy as the mouse wheel feels weird in free wheel and normal modes.

I'm still torn on it, outstanding mouse otherwise.

This dual feel wheel is present on almost all Logitech mice mid-range and up, we have 4 different ones (all still work and most used daily) over the years and all had this feature, it is something you get used to and I now dislike any mouse that doesn't have it.
I did buy this mouse in the previous lightning deal as I wanted the mouse mat and getting it free with a decent looking mouse seemed like a good plan, I currently have a logitech G9x which is solid and works perfectly but only has a few buttons so this G502 seems to be a good upgrade however it has to fit your hand/grip style or else it wont be worth it no matter what. the G502 feels fine to me but I use a finger tip grip and have really big hands so I am able to use almost every mouse I have come across with finger tip grip as long as it is wide enough but if you have palm or claw grip you would definitely have to try it to see if it fits as those grips styles are less forgiving.

the above views are just my opinion.
You need to put the mouse mat into the basket along with the mouse, otherwise it won't work. I ordered one earlier today.
When I add both to basket it comes up at £64.98 - how do you get the free mat?
Thanks.

My logitech MX518 and G5 had softer mouse wheels, which I personally prefer to the cold feeling metallic one in the newer iteration, also the scroll feature feels a bit too tactile for my liking and when in free wheel mode just feels as though the damned thing is broken!

Still, nice enough mouse. My gripe with the wheel is by no means a deal breaker as the rest of the product is the usual top notch Logitech stuff that I'm used to.
the dual mode wheels are marmite. They certainly aren't something that everybody gets used to - i hated the free wheeling on my old G9. Its not much better on the g502 either, so i don't use it.
Thanks free mat too
Awesome deal. That mouse mat alone is wirth £35. Thanks OP

do you own the logitech G9 ?
you can switch the scroll wheel mode easly by ONE single press!!!

Just built my first gaming rig and currently use a Logitech MX Master, woukd I benefit from a gaming mouse? Wanting to play Fallout, Skyrim etc.
Just ordered it but had a little trouble with the free matt. Spoke to Amazon who said when you see the G640 do not click on the add to basket. Look for where it says 2 new underneath and click on this. What this does is brings you to suppliers of the G640 and you will see 3BT I and under that Amazon supplier. Click add to basket from the Amazon supplier and then go to your basket you will see the price of the mouse matt had been deducted. I hope this helps.
Well I cant say I personally would have bought the mat for the stated price but I have a gamer-nut son who's unknowingly being brought a gaming laptop this year, and a hardcore gamer significant other who's worst enemy is his current crappy mouse. So I've ordered two lots of mice (mouses? meece?) and I'm hoping its a good choice

surley not worth it when your only going to make a few quid per Mouse especially if you all on eBay after fees

Not for those games as they're not FPS games that require hair trigger responses.
Ideal well happy with that thanks
