Thanks edi,

I needed a new one, and this seems like a bargain!

Thanks for the comment CJ :santa:

Surely the all in one at £39.99 is much better value!

Is that such a bargain though, because you can buy HP and Canon scanners from Amazon with a similar spec, for a similar total price and I'd rather have one from a brand I have heard of.

amazon.co.uk/hp-…98Q

Personally, i'd pay a bit extra and go for a multi functional printer (MFP) and avoid desktop clutter too.

Nice find Thanks edi ;-)

Welcome to HotUKDeals SMR too :pirate:

Hi,

I'd keep an eye out for offers on this ... argos.co.uk/sta…htm. It's currently £79.99 but Argos have had it at £39.99 on two occasions recently. I bought one for my parents for xmas and its really good esp as a full set of compatible carts is only £6.35 delivered. I have the model up from which only differs in that it has an auto sheet feeder for the scanner and was £50 from comet several months ago, its £59.99 now .. comet.co.uk/com…254.

I'd defo keep an eye out for any offers on those as an all in one with cheap carts is a better solution these days for most peoples use than separate devices.

I'd not bother with either this or all in ones.

A dedicated Canon flatbed like the one linked to above for £37.99 is the way to go. Canon scanners are amazing, second to none as far as flatbed scanners for home use go.

Well i've got a Canon "all in one" with built in flat-bed scanner which is very good.

"Half-price"? As in, "only a half-wit would pay this price"?

Mine cost £15 (yes, bought new from a Currys) and I don't think it was worth that much, especially as the supplied drivers don't support Vista nor are there any Vista/7 drivers available for download...
