Well Free provided you already bought the Wild Hunt and the expansions....so not free at all.
heat added anyway
But still an amazing piece of digital entertainment.
An amazing journey, every bit of this game oozes quality. Wish I hadn't played it twice already so I could go again.
Neither, it's a download direct from GoG rather than a code from another platform or a physical copy.
Downloadable DRM free copy.
Definitely worth £10 for the expansions. They are amazing.
Nope, it's a DRM free version you can download through GOG Galaxy, GOG downloader or just through your browser.
Thanks.
Except that one time when it was free.
If you're willing to wait a whole year I'd say pretty high, wouldn't expect to see it less than this for 6 months or so though at least. GOG have been very strict with their pricing on this one even dictating what other storefronts can reduce it to.
Really freaking hot though, one of my most favourite on PS4.
It shows up in task manager for a minute or 2 using virtually no CPU then disappears without having opened any windows, shown any splash screens, or thrown up any kind of error message. Support reeled off a list of things I'd already tried (and told them I'd tried) including making sure it is downloading/ starting up as admin, reinstalling, verifying files, restarting my PC, checking the usual drivers, checking nvidia 3d settings, and re-downloading C++. I haven't tried deleting the input.settings or user.settings files as per other sites' suggestions as I don't actually have them on my PC. Obviously none of this worked and I'm out of ideas on what else to do. For reference my GPU is 2Gb 770, I have 24Gb of RAM, and an i7 and nothing like this with any other game I own.
I bought this months ago and haven't been able to play it once since then and I have no idea what to do. Any advice would be super appreciated.
I would say the chances are slim.
The £ price just now is based on a discount on the normal USD price that gog.com shows (which has no tax on it - I don't think gog purchase include VAT for UK users).
In the Steam sale, the price will include VAT, so is not likely to be as low as this in the near future. Could be £15 in the Steam christmas sale if you are lucky but I'd guess that it will be next summer at the earliest before you'd see £15 or less.
If you want to play this game, then I don't think it's worth waiting months just on the hope of saving 1 or 2 pounds. Hot Deal right here.
If you've tried all the usual steps (drivers, etc) then contact Gog support (assuming you bought it on gog.com). I've not used their support before but I've heard they are helpful. You've probably left it too long to be able to get a refund though.
Well Free provided you already bought the Wild Hunt and the expansions....so not free at all.
Yeah they do. All companies are obliged to charge VAT to UK users, whether they're a UK company or not. If you order from them your receipt will say "All prices include VAT if applicable."
The Steam price will never be below the GOG one simply because CD Projekt get less revenue from Steam sales compared to GOG ones so would be stupid if they set prices lower there, but usually they're about the same price. Could still go down in price in the next year or so but any offer would appear on GOG first.
Think I'll wait then tbh, I haven't yet built my gaming PC and may not do so for another year or two, will try and keep patient and see what happens to the steam price. Can always buy on GoG next time it goes on sale
Thanks
Try making an exception to the .exe in your antivirus
I stand corrected Thanks.
At £13 I say give it ago but go in with the hopes of a good open world game. The cult around this game has become so blinded that they think it'll be for everyone.
This game is huge, and fun, and is an absolute steal at this price.

Oh great find, I looked on steam earlier but it didn't have a discount
Going to go ahead and bite at this price, probably won't go back up again to £17.49 for the next sale but you never know I guess
Steams store/deals update at 5pm (6pm BST), so GoG would have got in a good surge of sales before it went live on Steam. I was about to jump on this deal but I just prefer Steam, plus I had £50 in my wallet from PUBG crates so it was essentially free for me
Guess I was wrong about my Steam price prediction!
That's good for everyone here though
You lost 3 games and gained 1.
I still have the original, all the expansions plus Witcher 1 and 2 which I got with my original purchase; which cost a little over 20 quid shortly after release.
But when I received that email about the GOTY version, I did wonder what's the point.
Huh? It's the goty edition, expansions are included
Despite that, I clearly still bought it again (the other copy is on PS4) - if only to show off the graphics in 4k.
But buy it from gog if you can as projekt red own it and more money will go to them. I have nothing against steam but for this game the developers deserve all the money.
Bit late to this, but I went through the same issue with the previous Witcher games. It turns out the issue was because I had set My Documents folder to the non default folder paths after I added an SSD that I didn't want any files but Windows and a few others.
By any chance have u done the same?
