Mine arrived today and am using Ubuntu on it right now. Well worth the money.
The maplin website specs states this has 2GB flash so presumably it's the pre-2014 version because the v2 board was upgraded to 4GB flash after 02/1/2014.

Single core yes?
The one I have has 4GB. My board date is 2014-06-06. Their website is likely just out of date.
Any good to play retro games on? Considering building a NES PC or NES Wii console. I'm thinking the NES Wii has more benefits although the only obstacle is fitting it into the NES case properly.
Cant find any instructions on how to install Ubuntu 16 on this board. Only Ubuntu 14.

Does anyone know its possible?
Don't see the point of these, buy I'm sure there is one.

With only 1 USB, how do you connect a M and KB?

I guess use one of those usb hubs to connect more then one usb device to a single usb port.

Cheap hub (which I have) or a keyboard/trackpad combo eg the excellent Logitech K400 (which I also have).

Micro usb cable, I've got it into a 2A charger but it might well work with a lower rated supply, that's just what I had lying around.

Also check the deprecated section of armbian.com for much more recent images for this than the included Linux on it. I found an old micro SD card and got it up and running with one of them, too well under an hour including downloading and burning it to SD. Try etcher.io for an SD burning tool for Windows, also works v well with raspberry pi images.
What is the purpose of this board?
Looks like a nice little dev board, arduino header pinout is a good idea, thanks OP!

100% go for the Wii. You can emulate NES and SNES brilliantly, it can kinda do certain PS1 and N64, but the fact that it can run Wii and GameCube games perfectly does it for me. Especially if you get the old white one you can use GC controllers too.
Yes I commented on the price drop on your earlier post
Still haven't received mine yet from that deal.

Ditto - just grabbed the last one in Central Birmingham store as it's a v2 board with the same date.
