The issue around the 2017 Malware issue with CCleaner was due to the website not using HTTPS for the download which allowed hackers to inject a compromised version of the software when people downloaded it (around this time Sourceforge was also called out for this which they have since fixed). [Update] Piriform were compromised directly Wired Article
Regardless I'm not sure this is worth it any more, some of the features were useful in the days of Windows XP and the equivalent hardware but now you're more likely to do harm than good using a Registry cleaner and other tools are pretty much defunct.

Btw just noticed the code works for there other pro programs too, Defraggler, Speccy & Recuva

If you feel safe using it then good luck. Me, I wouldn't trust Avast to take my dog for a walk, they would probably bring me back a dead badger.

Ha! Heat for the deal. Unfortunately, after many years of using the free version, I finally bought premium about a month ago

Yeah I've not touched it since.

Yeah I've not touched it since.

It is not free version from zombie software download repository. It is from the official website of Piriform. It is London based company not spawning malware softwares for sure. en.wikipedia.org/wik…ny)
Works a treat .Thank you.Heat from me.
Thanks, heat
Activated without issue and curious to see whether there are indeed any benefits, much appreciated!

Honestly? Not really. I've only had it a month though, so not really had a chance to utilise the extra features. Free version is fine though. But considering this deal is free... can't go wrong really! (Presuming it works)

I second with HysteriaSees. I am also using it since several years. I am yet to play with pro features. Even the free version is fit for purpose so expect something more from pro version. Watch the space

The problem had nothing to do with 'zombie software download repository' (whatever that is). CCleaner was left open so that hackers were able to break into it through a backdoor and insert Malware that infected thousands of computers worldwide. I wouldn't trust any company that is so lax with their security.

Please can you explain '...hackers were able to break into it through a backdoor' what exactly you are trying to say. Do you think hacker has got access to Piriform S3 bucket to do inject such code. And Piriform is lax to do any penetration testing.
LOL
Good spot OP - cheers!

ROFL ...dead badger. Good one. Thanks for the laughter dose.
Let see how far I will remain safe. We are living on the edge in the age of ransomware, terror attacks and CronaVirus. I envy our old generations life, no technology but live life full on.
does this work on android too?

Many Thanks!!!
Awesome was just about to renew!
CCleaner been such a handy tool for years. Along with Treesize and Search Everything. The free version has always been sufficient but i'll give it a try anyway.
