69.99 everywhere last year guess there in short supply nowadays though with some sporadic deals of 39 and 49 have they stopped manufacturing them ?

I don't understand why is this offer going cold. Can't find it for that price anywhere else

I got mine next day. Didn't expect it to come so quick

I've been looking for a while, with those specs you looking around £600

Any similarly specd laptops available for this price?

For various reasons - incompetence, negligence and sometimes to improve cashflow or grab cash before going under. Over the years Currys PCWorld have been serial offenders of playing tricks - the only way is to make it a criminal offence to mislead customers and things will improve overnight XD

You've got that right, I've found a lot companies have no clue how to integrate their stock keeping systems with their website lately.

Looks like Currys PC Biz are getting free money to improve cashflow and then cancel the order and do a refund (party)

Why do I always miss these deals:(

Thanks for the answer, but I think you can currently play streaming games on Geoforce Now for Free, but it's a beta that will likely be charged for in future, and the impression I still have is that if you have a game in a steam library that you have paid for them you can access that too (?)... For newbies to this, like me, it is rather confusing. This video is good about the Geoforce Now thing...

It can stream from your PC but afaik that needs to be high spec, or you can play from their cloud servers for a fee but I don't think that's connected to Steam.

Excuse my ignorance, but with a Nvidia Shield can you play any game that is in Your Steam Library ? I just have a quite old laptop, no good for 3d gaming etc, but can activate games via steam on it. (For example a few games from a couple of years ago at low settings, and PES 2018, and Football Manager) So with the Shield I take it I can just log into.my Steam account and play these, and also buy new games on Steam and just play them too ? Or do you need a decent / high end PC still ?

LENOVO L24q-10 Quad HD 23.8" IPS LCD Monitor - Silver, £149 at PC World
Found 20th Dec 2018Found 20th Dec 2018
Free delivery/c&c.

I use glasses for computer work and have a 22inch and 24inch 1080p monitor. I can see both fine even if I take them off :)

No need to get touchy. Wearing glasses isn't like losing your hair, unless that's going too, along with your eyesight.

yes cos another is going to wave a wand and magically it will be more comfortable for me.. Amazing how you two Einsteins can't actually read other wise you would spot i never wrote i couldn't read the text on a 22", i just said it wasn't comfortable at the distance i use my monitor at, wh9ich of course neither of you know either or the length of my arms for using a touchscreen...Genius in the making not.

amazing how all these people on an internet shopping forum know better than my optician who tests my eyesight every 12 months when you work in IT it is one of the perks of the job ;)

Get the 29 inch LG monitor from the other day for £168. That’s overclockable to 75HZ and fat better than this.

Is this any good for an intro gaming monitor? I am just about to start my first ever pc build but yet to buy a monitor. My knowledge on this is poor so i would appreciate any feedback on this deal.

If i compare my 8 core 16 thread i7-7820x which i overclocked at 4.7GHz but can clock higher if I choose to and cost me £410 near the beginning of the year to the 8 core 16 thread £600 i9-9900k then I think it the x299 platform did make major sense. The prices its at now though, particularly the motherboards, it probably really doesnt any more.

a very warm welcome to hukd newbie.thanks very much for taking the time to post your deal today.heat added. :)

I can't see any point of going for x299 platform, Motherboards are overpriced, affordable processors are underpowered and system price stays high for years... I am using 4 years old i7 4790k on z97 motherboard, getting 5ghz no problem and I have payed just over £200 for cpu+cooler+mobo and 16gb of ram

Yes, but that’s the 6000 series which is a different class as well so not just an older model.

What's the difference between the 49NU7100K and the 49NU7000?

Not sure - seems a good price for a new-model 49", over £630 elsewhere. If you must have the latest model then this seems good. However, you can get the previous year range (MU) much cheaper - e.g. £520 for the UE49MU6400 from Richer Sounds - I have the 40" version of that which is a great TV

why cold?

Well, I'm very happy for you. I ordered mine on the 21st, still saying... Order status: Received. It was on 3 in stock before and after I ordered two, so I suspect they'll be cancelling my order. Fingers crossed not.

Hmm, that's odd. I got fairly instant confirmation when I ordered mine and received it within a few days.

This should be expired. I ordered two on Saturday night and they still haven't confirmed my order. I doubt they will tbh. Showing as unavailable now.

Didn't get mine and I ordered from two different PC World listings and one from another store (needed to replace all my ageing PC's!). All cancelled and refunded unfortunately. :(

Don't think so. Lol. All orders were cancelled. And refunded as far as I know.

Did anyone get the laptop in the end??

Money taken from account but no laptop. Oh dear :’) EDIT: just called them. They said they’re processing all the refunds but it’s going to take a few days to sort. He said that according to the spreadsheet my refund has been processed and I’ll get the money back within 5 days. He also apologised that the order got cancelled. Why not email that out eh PAL

Order showing as cancelled on account yesterday but still no contact from them since order placed. Not very good on the customer relations are they.

Different make and models and although debatable but lesser quality in my opinion.

Loving the vive, my kids are addicted to Snow Fortress and eve Valkyrie.

I've got one. A great bit of kit, and some great games. It's turned my non-gaming wife, into a gamer chick now. It all depends on the games that you play. Plus with a bit of know how, you can make AAA games work with it, to give you some really good 3D goggles.

A place local to me has a few of these set up at £20/hr. Seems ok, but nothing to really grab you yet. Would probably need a decent gaming chair too for driving/flying games. Kids play "Shop Assistant" more than anything else...lol

Or £659 via the normal consumer site inc. VAT. Cool piece of kit, the key thing is the additional requirement of a pretty powerful computer/laptop to run the programs..

Full experience would be WIRELESS which adds 200 quid on top.

These things are pretty dumb. After 2 days of using it I already know how to make it better, how do the idiots that make this junk be so ignorant? For example at 00:01 on Saturday morning, the steps counted are measured for Saturday, when they are clearly part of Friday night.
